Speaking to Nintendo Power, the developer of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, Rockstar Leeds, revealed that while the game may be on the small screen, its scope is anything but diminutive. Studio president Gordon Hall uses the two PSP Grand Theft Auto games – which it developed – for comparison, saying "this game is far bigger."
According to Hall, Chinatown Wars outclasses the PSP games with "more odd jobs, deeper missions, and more moments of over-the-top action," adding that it features "huge interaction with the Rockstar Social Club [and] a massive [narcotics trafficking] game that would stand alone on its own." Game? Surely he means a motivational tool.

i agree with SNES and PS2 for best in terms of games. PS1 and N64 hold a special place in my heart though. they brought me into this wonderful gaming world. ff7 & 8 by myself and goldeneye with the friends was just...the best. and i had some down ones...like star wars racer or whatever. but i still love them. i think i might be able to dig out my old n64...

Snes,GBA,DS and PS2 are pretty much the best system of all time in term of functionality and cheer amount of great games and classic, but my heart puts the Dreamcast above all, those 2 years when the Dreamcast was running I was more happy than any other console user combine.

Ok, now I want this game. And call me KARAZEEE but I rather loved the PSP versions. I hope they pull this off, and then go on to make a San Andreas PSP. Because that would rock my socks.

Yay, more aggravating remote controlled toy or terribly gamepad functioned driving/racing "fun". Kudos to them if it's larger and can remain 3D like the PSP ones.
Otherwise, if it's the top-down model, I'd prefer a remake of the originals. :\

It's 3D graphics, but the camera is up above, making it look (and play?) kind of like the old 2D games. Also the graphics are cartoony rather than realistic. Look at any of the screenshots and you'll get the idea.
Personally I think it looks great - and given that they're making a DS game, it would have been stupid to make it look like a shitty version of a PSP game. They're making something that looks like it belongs on the platform. That's step one.
Glad to hear the game is big... I'm definitely expecting to get this, will wait to see how it is reviewed though. From the amount of effort that's obviously being put into it, it sounds like it will be awesome, but can't rely on that until somebody independent has, you know, actually played it.

well personally think that if this is pulled off successfully, Rock Star will probably port the game and make it longer and better for the wii.
