PS1 classic Suikoden now available on the US PSN Store
20
Just one new item on the US PSN Store today, but it's a good'n. If you're an RPG fan and a retrophile then you'll no doubt be thrilled with the release of Suikoden onto the PSN Store. This great (if schizophrenic) JRPG will set you back $5.99. It's a pretty rare find nowadays, so it's good to see that it's being made available via digital distribution. This is how it should be; PS1 classics preserved in time via the PlayStation Network. Real classics. Not Reel Fishing.

I might give this think a look-see if I find that my current library needs to be supplemented.

yes! :) in that way, we all don't need to convert FF7-9 ourselves. they give us the exclusive, fixed, properly converted versions of those!

Nah, SE being SE, they'll give out revamped (and retranslated, eff yeah) versions on the PSP. Whether this happens after or in tandem with FFV and FFVI DS, I'unno, but about the only universally-marked-as-an-FF FF that'd be VC'd is Mystic Quest (unless they make a mobile version, like FFs I & II and Seiken Densetsu/SWORD of MANA).

this, wild arms, or everyday shooter? only got ten bucks to spend... which one should i get?

I haven't played Everyday Shooter, so I can't comment, but I would recommend this over Wild Arms. Don't get me wrong; Wild Arms is great, but Suikoden engaged me more and I think I had more fun with it. I enjoyed the different aspects of play (the army vs. army sequences were fun), and if you really want you can spend a good amount of time getting all 108 characters =) I think it took me about 20 hours my first go-through, and I kinda breezed through it. It really depends on what you're in the mood for and what you like, but if it were me I'd probably get this. ^^

I say Suikoden and let me tell you why. The Suikoden series is the only RPG series I play straight through from start to finish. Every other series makes me take a break of at least a month of more at the end...level grinds...
