I really think they both just wanted to write articles that included the term "Wii Knee", and then get as many people as possible to say "Did you read the Wii Knee (weenie) article?"

What about people getting injured playing real sports? Baseball doesn't get bad rep due to that. Of course, those stories don't make good news either.

If only, this only means the Wii is a true success :) Let them talk bs. :) we'll just giggle and move on.

I am the guy who once sprained his ankle celebrating a Vikings touchdown. Then there was the time I fractured my wrist playing badminton. Yeah, I am a huge klutz. Yet, even I have managed to stay injury free playing my Wii.

On behalf of Britons everywhere, I'd like to take this time to apologise for our newspapers. Sorry.

Still, could have been worse. Could have been The Daily Mail trying to convince the great unwashed that video games lead little children to become murderers and rapists. They must have had some actual news to report this week.

I hope that shirt is referring to the baseball team, and not Americans in general. This clarification could decide whether I think he deserved his "Wii-knee" or not.

It's a Red Sox shirt, look at the font.

I'm glad he hurt his knee!

I think that all computer games are in some sort harmful.. and it's nonsense to write about wii's damaging features. Like other computer games, Nintendo Wii is also in this range.

Since one of the stories is in the Sun the stories are likely to have been worsened. Also, the types of people who read the sun are also the types of people who are likely to hurt themselves playing the wii, i.e ditsy people.

All I can say is... read Ben Goldacre's book called 'Bad Science' and you'll never look at what journalists write about science in the same way ever again - even broadsheets. ;)
