I'm not the world's biggest fan of The Boss, but I always thought that Born to Run would be an awesome song for GH/RB. I'm excited.

If you read the source article, it states "two free Guitar Hero World Tour tracks, which will be available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii from January 27 to February 4." Don't know why Joystiq left out the Wii part.

Hmm, maybe it will come to Wii. I'll wait for a 2nd source too, cause this doesn't seem to have the official press release.

I forgot you were originally a Jersey Boy. You sound like my mother.

And anyway, isn't there some guy that was a member of the E-Street Band working for Harmonix? You think that'd have some pull.

Presumably because this is one huge advertisement for Bruce Springsteen, his record company wanted the information out there as soon and as much as possible.

For Harmonix, DLC is announced on a weekly basis.

However, for the past two months Neversoft announced all the songs for the month ahead of time. November was sort-of planned, December's DLC was planned, and so is January's (Oasis album coming last week of Jan.)

It is good and bad. You have to wait a month to be suprised, but at the same time, you can also plan your DLC purchases.

GH is releasing it's DLC selection ahead of the "weekly" mark in order to try and steal some thunder from RB's current "stranglehold" on the music game DLC market.

Unfortunately all it will do is give HMX advance notice on what the competition has so they can adjust their DLC schedule accordingly.

And free Springsteen is cool...but HMX will get my money if they drop Pretty Woman in two weeks like everybody's expecting.

Really doesn't get any better than Springsteen. I could do a Guitar Hero: The Boss edition, but instead we get garbage like Aerosmith.

I like free.

I don't like Joystiq's ads. Seriously, not once have these full-screen behemoths actually closed when I click the close link. Ever. I tend to turn off AdBlock for sites I'd like to support, but if it cripples browsing the site itself, well... sorry boys.
