Ever since they started putting the "Only on Playstation" on the top I've started to loath PS3 cover art.
They could at least line it up with the "PS" logo along the top. Just looks like sloppy design.
Anyway, it does look pretty good. I'm more interested in what's inside the box.

I will second that motion, the numbers indicating sequels for games has always sucked, i mean if your spending that much time on your game at least be a little creative with your title.

it does help though. i know a lot of people who would see "killzone" and dismiss it as an hd remake of the original instead of a sequel. and as long as the story is good, who cares about the title? did anyone ever complain about the final fantasy games? all they had were numbers. no subtitle, just numbers.

Would you raelly rather refer to a game just by its subtitle? It's a lot easier to refer to a game as "Uncharted 2" than "Among Thieves." In this case, the subtitle is a lot more generic, and I think it just works better to say Uncharted 2. Killzone 2 might be a little lazy, but it works.

I do too. Good thing for me that that's the one I'll be getting :P. I have often wondered why games sometimes get different art in different regions. Fair enough if there's something that violates local censorship laws for its classification or something, but why is this different? Resistance 2 is completelly different in europe to the US as well- the EU version is kinda like the Fable art

By the way! Maybe you should check out PS3 sales around the release of MGS4... I'm pretty sure the game helped sell quite a bit of systems... As well as LBP... Hell, my friend bought a PS3 because LBP was nearing release.

So the box art is a little stock. Did anybody really expect it to be anything dramatically different than this? I sure as hell didn't.
I think that's what might set this game apart from the masses, ironically. The fact that it is largely unoriginal, yet the things that are unoriginal just look so much more polished and fun than anything else in the genre.
I'm just crossing my fingers that I'm right, I have mucho anticipation for this game :)
