Actually that's quite not true.
Any off-the-shelf Mac now will play PC games, maybe not the super new ones but my MB runs L4D at native res with everything up to full and doesn't drop under 25fps. But also plays the few OSX-only games, like that castle escaping game (k so it's my only mac game but hella good).
Whilst an off-the-shelf PC is going to need some hacking and such to get it to play the arguably few OSX games.
Tis the truth. I'm afraid.

Wanna know what i got? Vicadin. Lots of Vicadin. I tore a muscle in my back moving my new 46" Sharp Aquos lcd hdtv into my house. So i spent christmas eve/morning in the hospital getting moriphine and enough Vicadin to last me till spring.
Have you ever screamed in pain on the floor with a 46" TV on top of you... and no wife to help you move for 2 hours cause she is out getting her EHEH waxed. what a waste of a brazillian.

I got a PSP (madden pack), Gears 2, Fable 2, Farcry 2, Mirror's Edge, Prince of Persia, and Wrath of the Lich King.
Probably the most important non game thing I got was a GPS for my car. I can't find shit on my own.

A lot of non-gaming Christmas loot aside, I got Call of Duty 4 (yeah I'm late to the party... but fashionably so), Fallout 3, and Left 4 Dead.

Get a PS3 and a set of component cables. You've got an HDTV, get a bigger one later on. Having the PS3'll tide ya over.

Be careful with the component cables, I got unoffical ones for the PS3 and they didn't worl properly and the clour and video was all distorted. Which was pretty annoying but hey I can put up with it untill tomorrow.
But I got a PS3, Play TV, a few games, a second controller, and 3 Blu-Rays (Batman Begins and The Dark Knight Boxset and Transformers)

Coming as an extremely satisfied and cynical xbox 360 owner, I'm actually surprisingly fond of and impressed with my new ps3. I made a list of all the pros and cons of the console I can think of from the perspective of an long time xbox 360 owner. I only listed something if it's actually different than the 360. For instance, both consoles have wireless controllers so I don't mention that as a pro of the ps3.
