PlayStation Network experiencing Trophy issues

Congrats! You unlocked a Trophy! Time to sync it up with ... Oh, wait. Looks like there's a bug in the PlayStation Network right now, preventing users from syncing their Trophy data with the servers. You won't be able to compare Trophies with friends, with a frustrating error message (80022D27) popping up at every attempt.

Considering the large number of complaints on the PlayStation Forums, it looks as though this is a widespread Network-wide outage. There's no word yet on what's causing this problem or when it'll be fixed. Stay tuned.

Also, downloading movies has been insanely slow for a few days, it took me more then 8 hours to download a rented SD movie, I have a wired connection with speeds up to 5,500 kb/s.

at least you CAN download them. are europeans ever gonna be able to?

phew! at least i'm not the only one with ths problem, thought maybe my trophies wer corrupted. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Phew I thought it was a problem with my PS3 rebooted it a few times my router too.

No they would "alert the press" meaning they would tell people before they shut it down.

Yeah, I noticed this earlier. I thought the whole damn internet was bugging out because there were several websites I couldn't access, and then the error happened. xP

This just start today? Because I was comparing trophies at about 4am with no problems.

I've only once had an issue with syncing and since then my trophy list says I have 94% completion in Burnout: Paradise and on my friends list trophy comparisons, it says that I have 85% complete...

That's because the compare list already has the trophies for the Part expansion for burnout, but your own list doesn't have them yet.

Home is also down. And has been around the same time as the Trophy syncs. Coicidence? I think not!

brettjr might be onto something! There was a post on the Home forums from Cyd saying that their working on it tho...so maybe..probally not but we can hope lol.

funny.........I noticed the Trophy Error like 4 hours ago........then proceeded to go into Home........would try again now if I wasnt in the middle of a movie

Weird, I just saw that my friend had new trophies. So I fired up the list just as I was reading this post.

A little bummed. Guess I won't be trying to get the Speedy Rexecutioner trophy anytime soon. Does anyone know how to get that? I beat it well under two minutes but I never got the trophy. I'm wondering if I have to beat the whole level under 2 min 30 secs.

Get that Shizz down to an art. and also on the last vulnerable spot you have to jump back as far back as possible to get a vantage to arc your bullets at him finishing it really really fast. the last thing usual got me, trying to jump shoot and avoiding the plasma. even dying and staying in the ramp is a good idea, also try with a friend for help.

oh good thought it was just me........lol........

Hmm, I was just getting some Trophies in World at War about 30 minutes ago and I believe they synchronized just fine (I even went server side and saw that I had 155 Trophies; yeah not a lot...).

Didn't try comparing Trophies though.

I couldn't care less about trophies.

I don't look a trophies (because their usually pointless) but when my friend said he beat R2 on the hardest difficulty level so I want to see if he had the trophy and that error shit popped up. But my trophies still synced properly. I hope they fix it soon so I can call him a liar.

i unlocked a couple crash commando trophies earlier today. they went through the sink up under the game area in the xmb but i can't compare trophies with anyone

Guys this is a bigger issue than its been given credit for.
If you read the posts on the forums, its caused by changing your password or email via the account management option in the XMB. Its not just a trophy error it locks you out from your saved games because it thinks your using saves that aren't yours, which causes the error with trophy syncing. I can't play pixel junk eden or wipeout hd unless I delete my saves and thats not something I'm willing to do.

Yea you can still get new trophies just fine. Been playing POP and getting trophies... its just problems with comparing and actually syncing to the servers. I thought it was my ps3 and was getting pissed. I upgraded my HD to a 320gb last night and when i rebooted i thought it messed up all my trophies. LOL, looks like I'm not the only one. What a relief. Afraid i had to do echochrome all over.

uhm... are you implying that you cant have fun and enjoyment playing games that are trophy enabled?

I tend to enjoy them even more, I doubt I would be replaying gtaIV or uncharted, as I enjoyed them very thoroughly the first time around (100%) but trophies give me new reasons to achieve the same metrics.

hey after getting the Platinum in Prince of Persia i went to sync and it gave me the error too but i signed out and signed back in and it worked fine after that...hope it helps

Makes you wonder why Sony even bothered implementing trophies on a system that no one is buying anyway.

Wrong... I showed all of my friends and ALL of my family the PS3 and they are all going to get one within a week. They love everything you can do with it. ;p
