Wii Warm Up: Start all the downloadin'

We suspect that plenty of Wii fans received Wii Points during the recent Holiday Gift-Giving Occasion -- they're relatively cheap, and safe in the same way that gift cards are. If you were among the lucky recipients of some wrapped Points, what did you do with them, or what do you plan to do with them?

Is your sudden windfall going to be shelved for future releases, either known or unknown, or are you taking the opportunity to go through the back catalogue and pick up some VC or WiiWare games you missed? Are you finally getting the rest of Space Invaders Get Even?

I'm glad I didn't get any Wii points 'cuz I ain'ts got no space left for games.

I got a 2000 point card, downloaded World of Goo once I got home last night, and now I need to figure out what to do with the last 700 points. I wish Nintendo would make it easier to use all the points, since before now I had a lowly 200 points left over and sitting there unused for months.

My points are waiting for RB2's music store to go live.

I got a Wii Points card from my wife, which has already got me a download of Mega Man 9. The rest of my card and some Christmas money will be going for Tetris Party and some other VC games.

I traded my wii points card for cigarettes :(

No Wii Points for me, per-say, but I did get cash which is quite easily converted to some Wii Points when I get home. Going to pick up the last two episodes of Strong Bad and some RB song packs.

World of goo was the logical choice, as my lady and I enjoy the cooperative play. So far it's been a total blast. I have 800 left and am scouring some virtual console releases to see what would be fun to dump our moolah on (coop games, any suggestions?)

I already got Mega Man 9 and World of Goo after receiving two 2000 point cards for Christmas. I now have 700 points left over (the extra 200 came from some points left over from an old card from months ago). Mega Man 9 is impossible, but World of Goo is beast.

I'm with Moleculo. I check every day on the off chance that there will be music to buy on the RB2 store. I don't know, though, with 30 songs going live with the service, chances are slim that my must-buys will make the first round.

You can quit checking, at least for a few days. They've announced they hope to get the store up in early 2009.

I did indeed get a Wii Points card, and I had like 1200 points on my Wii already so now I have a hefty 3200 points to spend. MaBoShi came out today, so I think I'll probably pick up that and save the rest for when I see something I want. (Y hallo thar, Smash Bros.)

i got 4000 points for christmas. i already had about 1200 before i got those, which i bought art style orbient and rotohex w/, now i have 4000 left over still. i might eventually buy world of goo and other than that, just waiting for whatever's down the pipe to use them. hoping for more art style games!

^_^ well, i did not receive a Wii Points card myself, my boyfriend to buy me some WiiWare games this Christmas!

I had gotten a Wii Points card...but I didn't have any way to connect my Wii to the internet! So on the 26th, my mother and I got up at 5 in the morning, went to Fry's, stood in line for about 30 minutes, and 18 minutes after Fry's had opened, I had a wireless router with b and g support. Now I can use my Wii, DS and laptop around the house.

Oops, forgot to mention I bought My Pokemon Ranch and Secret of Mana.

While I didn't get a Wii Points card, one of my friends did gift me World of Goo, Kirby 64, and the Internet channel.
