Another year has come and gone bringing with it a pile of quality titles. Instead of throwing the three staffers here at X3F into a room without food or water until we agreed on one absolute game of the year winner, we've opted to pick our own individual favorites. What stood out to the staff of X3F? Here are our picks for best (and even some of the worst) of 2008.

The horrible multiplayer in GoW2 killed it for me. I wouldn't vote it anywhere near GOTY. I think Dead Space or Fallout 3 would be better in that spot. But they're not 360 exclusives, so maybe that's why it was chosen?

Most disappointing game Castle Crashers, it could have never lived up the hype it got on this site. I still dont get it, I thought the game was terrible.

Dustin, really? Your most anticipated game of 2009 is one with a 5-6 hour campaign? You can't really get into Grand Theft Auto IV, Fallout 3, Fable 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts or any of the other great 2008 games within 5 hours. Ah well, to each his/her own. At any rate, be blessed.
