2008's selection of downloadable games for Wii? A mixed bag. Surprising, we know. Should you not feel like rummaging through this metaphoric bag for gems -- and, really, who would? -- Wii Fanboy has done the dirty work for you.

Also, Art Style: Orbient and Tetris Party are more worthy than Pit Crew Panic or Gyrostar

Its a list of unpopular games that rock. Goo is popular and rocks. Is basically a list of failures yet not so full of fail.

As much as I bitched early on about games like the Dr. Mario redux not being good for the service, I'll admit I was off. I gifted it to a buddy for xmas for a present. Had a lot of fun with it

Can't wait to sink my teeth into Goo, Lost Winds, and others.

WiiWare had a promising start, then looked like it was going to turn into incredible dogshit, but I'm happy to say things are looking pretty good for it now...

World of Goo is missing???? What?????

I'll admit I was tempted by Toki Tori but wasn't sure as had heard nothing about it and was waiting for World of Goo. It did tempt me though as had 900 points so enough for it but not Lost Winds.

Speaking from a standpoint of someone who had never played a Mega Man game before in his life, I think the best game currently on the service is Mega Man 9. It just oozes goodness from every pore. I love it. And, it turned me on to a new (new old?) franchise.

Didn't anyone read the list? It's 10 games that should have been downloaded but weren't, not the 10 best games on the service. That's why there's no World of Goo, Art Style, Mega Man, etc.

Yes, I read the list. They're drawing from quite a large catalog, yet some still seem a rather large stretch to me. I enjoy WiiFB and all, but seems maybe a few of the contributing authors should've set down their pre-existing fanboy goggles before before throwing this up. I mean, you ask if we read it, did you?

Screw this, gimme Super Mario Kart, Pilotwings, StarFox and Super Punch Out! Gah!

No thanks. Wii and DS versions are the best iterations available and I own both.

No thanks, you can even put my dad to sleep with Pilot Wings, and he loved that the first handful of times he saw it.

StarFox, big yawner to me, although I admit the game kicks ass due to a significant faction of friends who love it.

Punch Out? Unless we're talking about the NES versions, than who cares...

There was also a rumor that sprouted up today that Nintendo will be releasing Wii Pilotwings withing the next 6 months.

Yeah, I know, I did, I rip rip ripped... Still play Wii Kart? Granted I haven't been on much as of late, but a couple of my online friend have been a buch lately, so I'll probably be on there on lot...

it might make sense, about Wii Pilotwings i mean. The rumor, all the way back in 2005, was that Factor 5 was doing it. Perhaps Factor 5 must push it out at this point to avert financial disaster

Or its a more complete version of that little "fly the plane" tech demo that they showed back at E3 2006

Browsing over it during the holidays I was surprised by the sheer amount of awesome content that is out but I haven't got round to downloading.

The list is supposed to be good games that most people ignored.

Then the title for this post is very misleading..

I was curious why i hadn't owned any of these titles and how i didn't know most of their names and then i remembered i hadn't bought any VC or WiiWare titles this year, and i stopped getting Nintendo Power (and to be honest, stopped playing wii all together)

I have 6 of the 10 in one form or another... also, where are the "bottom 20" and stuff like that coming from? When you sort by popularity? Or is there some sort of sales data for Wiiware games somewhere?
