In less than a week over 100,000 votes have been tallied across all 15 categories to vote for your favorites and most hated titles of 2008. Some surprises are in store and tears may be shed but in the end we will look back fondly at 2008. It was the year that reignited our fear of the zombie apocalypse, Cliff Bleszinski became a man, X3F TV exploded and everyone disagreed about Mirror's Edge.
Oh, 2008 you will be missed and 2009 you sure have your work cut out for you!

WOW was Fallout 3 close.......I still think Fallout 3 deserves GOTY instead of Gears. It's got a deeper story (save for the shitty ending), it has a vast huge world to explore. It has an amazing replay value (im on 130 hours) and the wasteland is huge and expansive. Great character customization, levels, perks. I just think it's an overall better game =/ (I'm not saying Gears 2 is bad though :D)

grrr fanboys! my vote was in for gta iv, i still to this day think it is superior to any other game. gears 2 was good, but not enough to snag goty. fallout 3 deserves its second place. as for arcade, i never played braid, so i can't say much, but geometry wars 2 took my vote. congrats to all the winners and heres hoping 2009 will bring bigger, better, and dare i say, more badass games.

Gears of War 2 for GOTY? What a fucking joke. way to help us show that they really need to fix the multiplayer portion of the game. How can a game win an award for being the most disappointing (for the multiplayer,) and then turn around and get GOTY?
