Resident Evil 5 Demo graphical comparison called in favor of the Xbox 360

Resident Evil 5 is going to look fantastic no matter where you play it but when the two console demos are put head-to-head, which one do you think has the graphical edge? You guessed it, it's the Xbox 360.

Dot50Cal over at The-Horror.com put together a fantastic gallery of screen shots from both versions of the demo. While both look great, Dot50Cal notes that the Xbox 360 version appears to be a few builds ahead of the PS3; shadows and sharpness appear to be the major difference. But don't go too crazy X-heads, these comparisons are based on a demo and not the final game and some only show very small differences. Check out Dot50Cal's images for a closer look.

Well... of course. Microsoft is all about the developers. Of course programmers will be able to take better advantage of the 360.

PS3: If you weren't such a prick, developers would have wanted to spend more time with you.

My console wins!... This is pathetic. How is this even newsworthy. I am getting the 360 version and I own both consoles but the difference is so minimal that it doesn't matter.

There's not that much of a major difference between the consoles, the PS3 seems to have a bit better lighting, dust effects and slightly more detail, it's nothing that major though. If people want real differences though they should get a high end PC.

I can def agree that the textures look better on the xbox but why do they do these comparisons on component out? Ps3 has HDMI and they dont even put that into consideration...

Again this game looks much better on 360, but this game is not for me anyways. 360 games are good but i like ps3 more. I only buy about three games a year, so there are plenly of good 3rd party and exclusive games for me to choose on ps3.
I feel sorry for those ps3 owners who thought 3rd party ps3 games will allways offer something over cheaper system. And i feel sorry to all 360 owners that have had trouble with hardware :)

Im not ps fanboy and maybe next generation microsoft makes the console i like more over the competition.

personaly it doesnt matter which is the better sys now multi cross will always be a diferense since different architectures fanboys like a few that have post need get info right gears1,2 are very good as of killzone2 there are a few reasons besides six and bd why 360 cant handle killzone short answer developer friendly but inferior hardware their are limits for gpu and gears2 was close to it

oh @ mazrael i can tell lack of info on ps3 so you know pipelines on ps3 are twise as stong to 360 and as of ram there both 512 only thing is when using xdr you pay a penalty meaning less ram but cell sram makes up for it the fact that 360 gddr3 it will impact in visuals and crash
