The last XBLA game we will receive in 2008 is Merv Griffin's Crosswords. We're not exactly sure what to make of that, honestly. Hopefully, you can figure out what to make of it by watching our latest installment of XBLA in Brief. Whatever you think of this week's offering, just remember that an entirely new year of Xbox Live Arcade goodness begins tomorrow. Here's hoping 2009 is even better.

@3. The show was on here in the states for about 1 1/2 years. And during the show they would give away 360s as part of the prize packages. Also, the announcer always said on the show "Coming soon to Xbox360"...But now the show has been canceled since fall and now the game is coming out. Yeah for progress.
I made the HUGE mistake of buying this on the "whim" 'cause it sounded fun. I must say, poor, poor production and presentation. Good in concept, if the budget for this game was larger than a hundred bucks or so. Way to screw over the ignorant consumer (i.e. me), yet again Microsoft. Let's all pull together and buy more shitty XBLA games to prevent another 15,000 Microsoft employees from becoming extinct.
In the trial at least if you replay the same puzzle you get the clues in the same order. After losing my first time playing I played again, answering every single clue and doubling my money with every Extra. Walked away with several million dollars and three trips. MUHAHA! Hopefully the full game mixes things up but it still wouldn't take long to learn all the answers to one of the puzzles.
Also, what's with all the MGS questions in the vidoegame puzzle?
