Well if you want to look at it that way, then the whole point of that article is kind of lost, isn't it? But you can't just discard the fact that twice as many people put twice as many man hours into something. That's why the PS2 usage isn't a non-story.

I watch hulu.com and its ilk on the PS3 and remotely on the PSP. I also pull up gamefaqs.com once in awhile. All in all I use the PS3 browser frequently.

The PS3 browser (like most of it's features) is excellent. The flash 9 support works perfect, for things like Hulu, Youtube, Youporn, etc.

although i like the feature of having a brower on my ps3, there isn't much point in using it. But the browser makes it seem like a complete PC.

I browse on the PS3 over wifi g. It works great, although hopefully they improve on speed. My laptop over wifi g blazes, the PS3 is slow in comparison. I haven't browsed on my Wii because of the premium $5 for the browser?? thats friggin insane...plus it's in crappy garbage low-res - so there is absolutely no point in browsing on the Wii.

When I was between computers for about a month, I used the PS3 browser to handle all my Internet activity. With a keyboard and mouse, it's perfectly acceptable as a computer replacement when it comes to web browsing. There are limits, but it's better than not having access at all.

My biggest complaint with the PS3 browser is the way it reacts to some keystrokes. Often, I'd write a long message, and *accidentally* tap [Shift+Delete] only to watch my entire message disappear. This would usually happen when I was typing, noticed an error right after capitalizing the beginning of a sentence, and tapped "Delete" too soon, so my other finger hadn't left the Shift key yet.

It was very frustrating.

The PS3 was also a bit fussy with flash videos. Sometimes they'd work, sometimes they wouldn't. I rarely bothered with YouTube because sometimes the PS3 would just hang up and freak out over a video on there.

I was glad to have it, but of course I would have preferred a computer at the time. (Incidentally, I was without a computer because I'd sold my older one on eBay, and PayPal has implemented a new policy which makes the seller wait 21 days for the payment to be released from a hold. It sucks. I had to wait for PayPal to get off their butt and let me have my money, while the guy who bought the computer had it for a few weeks. A word of advice: Don't sell computers on eBay anymore unless you have a feedback over 100).

What? When I had my Wii the Opera browser was free...
Anyway, it could also be down to the fact that the majority of people on Wiis aren't the kind who care for much more than games, considering the Wii has the least 'extras', whereas the PS3 people may actually take the time to see what else it can do.

Using Sony's browser on my PS3 or PSP would only be needed in the most absolute doomsday emergency situation......if somehow my laptops, my computers, and even my WM6 phone somehow died.

A useless feature which SONY should have cut instead of Backwards Compatibility......

idiots.
