MGS4 cast has identity issues, holds group therapy session

How dedicated is the vocal cast of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots? So dedicated that they believe they are the characters to which they breathe sound and life into. Is it some form of hypnotic gene therapy which brings out such wondrous talent? Maybe ... it's the work of the Patriots? *Cue dramatic music* Whatever the reason be, they now meet up regularly to (jokingly) discern between what really is game and reality.

Dr. Sadie, records one such session documenting how far our beloved actors have had one too many serums in the neck. Paul Eiding (aka Colonel Campbell) is on a junkie binge for some Scissors 61. While Christopher Randolph (aka Otacon) reveals he's been turning his cat "Mark" into Mark II ... by strapping a camera to its back. David Hayter (Old Snake), Jennifer Hale (Naomi), and Quinton Flynn (Raiden) are all there with their buddies with some hilarious consequences. See it all after the break. Awesome! i absolutely love SGI, hope she continues for a long long time

Though I enjoyed the video, I think there could have been much more direction from "Dr. Sadie" in order to create a great group therapy. She could have asked about each actors childhood and their relationship with their parents. I would have loved to hear David Hater talk about his childhood as a hybrid Snake/Hater. Also Jennifer Hale seems to be very lovable and down to earth, unlike Naomi Hunter. That would have made a great conversation.

Either way I think there was so much potential in order to make a great video. There needed to be a little more direction for the actors. Letting them lose like that is great and makes for hilarious dialogs (i.e. "My tear ducks are now connected to my nipple"), but it could have been so much more.

watched it for about two minutes then turned it off. obviously fake. their good voice-actors but terrible actors. i dont if ps3fanboy knew it was fake because sarcasm doesnt convey on the internet

You should watch the whole thing; they take some time to get warmed up to the whole situation - it really doesn't get started till about half-way through.

True that, something about Sadie has always just made me angry listening to her.

This video just makes me want to go play MGS4 again... and MGS1, 2 and 3... man I love that franchise.

But there are some very nice lines, when Hayter talkes about CQC people on the street and asks if he can hold a 18 minute long monologue, or the guy who voices Raiden that he doesn`t have a junk. And of course the Mark 2.

Wonder if the point where the raiden guy takes the chair of hayter was a homage to the MGS4 teaser trailer.

Without watching the video and only listen it`s quite funny like a strange codec conversation. :D

You know, when Doctor Sadie implores Kojima to save the voice cast, all I could imagine was Kojima in front of the computer, in his underwear, surrounded by the models who played the Beasts, in the same room where Eva and Big Boss got it on, sipping wine and saying "Ah, everything is going according to plan! BUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

C'mon guys!!! It wasn't meant to be "real". This was a parody. A self reference joke like the many the MGS games have had over the years, even in- game. It's just part of the humor of the series and breaking that fourth wall with the player.

You may have laughed or not with it, but take it for what it is- a fun video that the cast made probably during the break of a recording session.

That was surreal, but brilliant.
If i knew David Hayter or the Otacon guy in real life i'd INSIST they did the voices constantly.
