Amazon nukes Fallout 3 bundle prices today
Today's Amazon "deal of the day" bombs the prices on several limited edition Fallout 3 bundles. For starters, the Fallout 3 "Collector's Edition" for the Xbox 360 has its price melted by 40% and is being sold for $50.
For those who really want the Vault-Tec goods, Amazon's exclusive "Survival Edition" has been reduced by $20 for all available platforms ($110 for X360 and PS3; $100 on PC). The main difference between the two bundles is the Survival Edition's life-size replica of the Pip-Boy 3000. Sadly, it doesn't feature built-in GPS or a real-time medical readout like the one in the game.

Also unlike the one in the game, the replica is a piece of crap.

Best nukes in a videogame.

There are some worth mentioning offers in Target and Circuit City:
Target has Wario Land: Shake at $30 dlls. and Circuit has The Orange Box 360, Lego Star Wars: Complete Saga 360 and Samba de Amigo Wii at $14.99 dlls.
Offers end next Sunday. I will pick all those games (expect The Orange Box... I already have it)

The reviews for the Pipboy 3000 are amazing.Worth reading.

it is predictably negative on the pipboy clock. Get the collector's edition, and forget the survival unless you want a broken clock.

When does the DLC come out for this again? My friend has my copy of F3 and I'm seriously considering just picking this up if he's not going to be done by the time the DLC drops. That bobblehead would look really good here in my cubicle...
Trev @ Jan 5th 2009 5:08PM
Of course, the day after I go pick the regular edition...

I LITERALLY JUST BOUGHT THE GAME 2 DAYS AGO!
FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU...
Alvin @ Jan 5th 2009 5:19PM
i bought the Collectors Edition on Jan. 1st, for only 60 dollars at my best buy!! i automatically bought it, and have not stopped playing it ever since.
Burritoclock @ Jan 5th 2009 5:25PM
The pipboy SUCKS, mine broke within 6 hours, I thought... turns out it devours 4 AA batteries in mere moments, and it's just a clock, with no features at all.
ice~ @ Jan 5th 2009 5:27PM
If I didn't already own the game I would so buy this

"Amazon nukes Fallout 3 bundle prices today"
I see what you did there. ;)

Very own Pip Boy! If I had the extra cash, I would so get that. It would be awesome! Then again, I LOVE Fallout 3!
arkweld @ Jan 5th 2009 6:17PM
If you want to have the same experience. Go to Walmart and by a $1 clock. Throw it down the stairs until the buttons stop working. Then spend $20 to ship it to a repair center where you might get a replacement.
The Survival Edition should be reduced TO $20 just for the hassle of trying to just get it to tell the damn time and then either packing it up and sending it back or driving to a landfill to hurl it into the air.
Burritoclock @ Jan 5th 2009 6:22PM
Yes, it SUCKS, however the bobble head is cool.
arkweld @ Jan 5th 2009 6:29PM
yes the collector's edition is fine. The bobblehead head bobbles as a bobblehead should. It's everything you want in a bobblehead.
The PiPboy doesn't pip. It doesn't even boy.

I saw the Collectors edition (one with lunch box everything except the Pipboy) for £20 in GAME and the one with the Brotherhood figure for £15 if you are from the UK and are looking for it. The regualar one was £45 though I thhink they were getting rid of stock tbh.

Joystiq THANKS for the heads-up!
My in-laws got me a $50 VISA gift card and I was looking to get this or Dead Space, but didn't want to kick in extra cash for tax, shipping, etc.
Awesome to see that I got the CE with FREE shipping for $50!
Thanks so much,
WiNG

I like when they make Limited Editions actually limited.. When there's such a massive supply they're selling them off for cheaper than the standard game, it's just ridiculous.
Though I have to say this one is well worth it for the bobble head and lunch box. Too bad they'll never be worth anything.
thethirdmoose @ Jan 5th 2009 11:31PM
This would be awesome if the clock was radioactive.
arkweld @ Jan 6th 2009 3:55AM
it probably is. It's such a cheap piece of crap the fluorescent digits are probably made of some toxic waste.
komrad @ Jan 6th 2009 12:04AM
with a fresh set of batteries your pip boy will last you 2 weeks tops!..tops... your call.
ThornedVenom (Harley Quinn Defense Force) @ Jan 6th 2009 5:31AM
If the PipBoy could play those sweet old tunes, I'd be all over it.
