Considering how slow the releases were during December, it's no wonder why there's a sudden rush in January. I'm already excited for the upcoming releases. It's been pretty dry recently!

On my got the DS elebits sucks! It doesn't have the replay value of the Wii version, and it isn't even indoors. One thing (one of the only things) that got me interested in elebits was the ability to mess up houses. In the DS version I don't get to throw beds halfway across the room. The demo was on the nintendo channel that's how I know.

Are you basing this 100% on the demo?

From what I've seen on IGN, the DS version takes place both indoors and outdoors (http://ds.ign.com/dor/objects/14250198/elebits-2/images/elebits-the-adventures-of-kai-and-zero-20081120034454441.html)

Granted, from the demo it seems that you can't cause the pandemonium you could in the Wii version, however maybe that's for the best considering the small screen size of the DS.

As for replay value, that's not something you can really measure from a demo...

I'm still up in the air about this game...my plan is to wait for the full version to be released and then read the reviews.

As a general rule, it seems every year that we get 75% of the must-have games in 4th quarter, with one AAA title every quarter leading up to the holiday season. Though Holiday '08 was no different, with loads of "must-haves" being released leading up to whatever gift-giving holiday you celebrate, I have to give nintendo and the developers immense credit for not putting us through another winter drought.

Assuming that these titles really do come out in the first quarter (the dates aren't pushed back), this is will be more than likely be the most solid 1st quarter I can ever remember in gaming. Even though that list really only has four titles on that I, personally am interested in... I, for one, am totally stoked about first quarter for the first time in a long time.

Speaking as someone with no money, I just don't care anymore. The secondary market is full of greedy morons and the primary market is basically either Wal Mart or EB who have decided to just start charging whatever they want ("I know the MSRP is 29.99, but we're selling it for 39.99. What can I say?"). I'm just going to read more books. Screw this.

I'm sorry, was there a new Professor Layton mentioned there? If no, then there's nothing to be excited about.
