I still say we're going to see a Lego Watchmen game to coincide with the movie. It is Warner Bros, after all.

New Line own the LoTR liscene, so it can't happen. Lego also has to approve everything, the brick versions of all the characters, equipment and everything.

Even if it could happen, I don't think Lego would go for it.

However...New Line Cinema is a division of Warner Brothers....therefore it is a possibility. Maybe around the time of the Hobbit movie. Ya never know

I guess it could.

I'm more annoyed with the news about Indy 2. I guess we knew it would happen, but I was hoping they'd simply release new content for Indy with DLC.

If they are actually making a sequel then we know there's no point in buying any of these games, may as well wait for the "complete saga" versions.

That's most likely what I'll do. I absolutely loved Lego Indy, it was one of my favorite games in 2008. I had a lot of fun playing, but hopefully, they put in online co-op...that is all I can really ask for.

The 1 thing LEGO Harry Potter needs for me to buy it: I picture of Emma Watson in skimpy clothing on the front. Day one confirmed.

I used to quite like the potter games on the PS1. Having said that, I was a very stupid child.

Well... Lego series are good games to play with the family, girlfriend, wife, etc... mostly because the easy learning curve, cute graphics and local co-op.

And Harry Potter is a very good series, well, at least the books (don't know about the games, never played them). Too bad that most people like to bash the series, but I really find the books to be very good, good writing and an excellent story, with very appealing and interesting characters.

The series died after Order of the Phoenix. I had to push myself to finish Half Blood Prince and I skipped Deathly Hollows completely.

Really?

Half Blood Prince is definitely my favorite book in the series, and I really liked Deathly Hallows... I could feel the desperation and isolation that the main characters experienced while searching the Deathly Hallows.

Deathly Hallows was amazing. She finally broke out of the formula she'd locked herself into with the 'one book = one year in school' structure of the series.

I hate it when people bash Harry Potter. I mean, for starters she's writing for kids. What do you expect, War and Peace? And the plot is incredibly complex yet well executed, as well as her having a fairly competent writing style. 99% of the people who say Harry Potter is rubbish are pretentious faux-intellectual snobs who couldn't string together a personality or character for themselves, let alone a novel.

To be fair, Batman, Indiana Jones, and Star Wars LEGO sets weren't around when I was a child either.

I remember CoS on GBA. Every other game in the series (up to PoA) I played on my PC. They had a primitive open-world mechanic (especially the 3), but the best parts of all of the was Quidditch

Good. That means they've got more time for Lego Grand Theft Auto and Lego World of Warcraft.

They've raped the books enough with those God awful movies that WB keeps churning out....so I'm glad that they won't make this.

To me, the lego series is being milked beyond belief.

I liked the first Lego Starwars. I thought it was a clever idea, and it was a lot of fun. Whenever Lego Starwars 2 came out, I was happy that they decided to continue the series with the classic Starwars movies instead of the newer ones. Then the Complete Saga came out, and I didn't buy it. There seemed like there was almost no point to making the game at all.

Then Lego Indiana Jones was released... Ugh, I'm getting sick of it now... Then Lego BATMAN was released.

I stopped right there, because I was really getting bored of the Lego formula.

It's like Guitar Hero. It was clever and fun to play at first, then it just gets old after the 100th game has been released.

I mean, I don't hate the lego games, but they should have stopped with the complete saga, or changed the mechanics to keep it from being boring.

Well, if it means that waiting until 2010 makes for a better game, I'm all for it. Between the Star Wars games, Batman, and Indy, it's pure win so far. So, I'll wait for another win.

I think they should try to develop something based off of Lego's existing IP's. How about a Lego Technics game for the download services that is like a Lego version of Fantastic Contraption?
