Sometimes news comes from where you least expect it. Case in point: middleware firm Illuminate Labs. The lighting tech company recently toweled off new screens for Blizzavision cast off, WET, confirming that the acrobatic shooter is still expected to bound onto retail shelves for the PS3 and Xbox 360 sometime in 2009.
In development at Montreal-based developer Artificial Mind and Movement (A2M), WET has remained submerged well below the radar since it was first detailed in August 2007. Beyond the new eye candy, WET's pool of details remains shallow, though it's at least good to know that someone will be fishing the game out of the well someday soon.

WET has held my interest for quite a while, looks like a fun game with cool character design. I hope it gets picked up soon (I'd champion Southpeak, but I reckon they see it as competition to Velvet Assassin... So come on D3!)

activision is really having me question why they got rid of all these cool IP's. Meh they will soon regret those decisions because I think wet along with ghostbusters and brutal legend will sell really really well.

It's not their first game, they've done a bunch of portable stuff, mostly movie adaptations, stuff like that.
I get the feeling that they've made their millions working on shit for other people, and now it's time to make their baby. Hopefully it'll be good.

So the name of the game is WET and a chick is the main character? Hmmm...
Sounds sexy, but I'll have to see a gameplay video first.

I remember seeing the trailer like a year and a half ago and the gameplay was like watching Sin City mixed with a touch of the acrobatics of Prince of Persia.
It definately got me excited for it then, I'm glad to see that it wasn't tossed aside.

WET looks pretty cool. The title refers to wetworks or assassinations. Youtube has a handycam of a level. It's looks like a hybrid of Max Payne and Stranglehold and ol' school grindhouse flicks. I'm there...

OH DEAR GOD THE PUNS!
Anyway, this is really odd, since I just found out about this game literally a few days ago and started looking up screens and previews, and there hadn't been any news since 2007. I must have some magical power to revive old games people thought had been cancelled...
I think it looks pretty good. Sort of like Stranglehold, which I liked the idea of, but turned out to be a terrible game. Let's hope this is a bit better. Certainly looks pretty.
The game, not the girl... >.>
