Wii Sports best-selling game of all time?

VGChartz is certainly no less accurate than the NPD (Media Create might be more accurate, what with their numbers down to the ones place and all). Both of them take existing data and extrapolate it to cover for unknowns

Plus VGChartz corrects their data with every release of "official" numbers, so if it isn't accurate today, it will be in a maximum of 30 days

well, think about it. how many wii's were sold in North America - all bundled with wii sports. Then add in the number of purchases of wii sports in Europe. Then, I dont know how Japan or Australia or any other place gets their Wii Sports, but thats ought to be a lot. Makes sense to me.

I'm confused, you say super mario bros is the top selling game of all time but at the end you say NES. Am I wrong or wasn't super mario bros on the SNES?

...duh, Wii Sports is bundled with every Wii sold, at least in North America if not Europe too. That means that for every Wii sold in these regions, a copy of Wii Sports is also sold, whether the purchaser wants it or not. If it weren't bundled I doubt Wii Sports sales would be anywhere near as high. Sure, it's a great game, but not everyone would buy it if it weren't bundled. Even if Japan, etc. don't have it bundled, the regions that do are enough to push Wii Sports sales to levels it would probably never hit if it weren't bundled in anywhere.

I like wii sports but you can't say it was the best selling game only because it came with the wii. If it didn't it might not have sold that much, dont get wrong wii sports is a great game(and personally I hate mario I'm more of a sonic fan) but remember that mario got his title by sitting on shelves and wii sports didn't.
