When I had SR2, I had it installed and never had that problem, even after playing for hours. Maybe if you can squeeze the room, install it until they can patch it.

Also, I had the intercooler for a while on my original 360. It did help a lot. It was as loud as my motorcycle but kept from getting freezing errors. The original build had plastic connectors and a on off switch. They then released a new one that had metal connectors but no power switch, so it was always running. Since that time, they have altered the power adapter components on the xbox itself, so I do not know if they have updated the intercooler to go along with that. You would need to make sure it fit, but if I guess it doesn't, return it. Also, I have seen other fans that the xbox just sits in and runs on its own power. In that case, it would not matter the xbox revision as the outer case dimensions are all the same.

My newer 360 runs cooler, much cooler, and I have not used an external fan since getting it. Just about all of the falcons onwards should be fine. It is the previous generations that I would be concerned about. As always, adequate air flow is a must regardless. Kinda limits position, but I have lived with that.

Never played Saint's Row, but when I play COD World at War it sounds like my Xbox is working a lot harder than it usually does for other games. Anyone else notice this with world at war?

I had Saints 2 installed the whole time I played it, and it never crashed on me. Try installing it.

@ offday:

I agree about CoD:World at War. It does seem like my disk drive is working much harder than usual.

For the last e-mail regarding Final Fantasy XIII, it is NOT an Xbox 360 exclusive in North America or Europe. The PS3 version is still coming out in NA and Europek, but, as it was stated, it is a PS3-exclusive in most of Asia.

So yeah, I thought X3F would've stated that, but it's all good!

I totally forgot about Faith and a .45! From what I saw it seemed prettying good, so I am hoping that more information comes out about it.

Thanks for that reminder!

I mean seriously, I wish you would quit answering the questions of people that ask like 7 questions. I get tired head reading all that crap.

Anyways, nice article, keep up the great work.

As for the guy with the cooling problem. I bought and recommend the NYKO Intercooler TS, as it has its OWN power supply and cools the system substantially. It's powerful and small, and it really does the job well. The only thing that might bother you is that it's LOUD, and it's kinda annoying - but I honestly only notice it after I shut off my system as it continues to cool it even after you shut down (another nice feature)

Ah, and that would solve the many power supply interfaces problem. Seems good, it got good reviews on amazon, if anybody needs one, that is.

I keep my 360 in a vat of liquid nitrogen. Job done.

You do have to be extra careful with the discs though....

Since this is an Ask X3F article, this is probably the best place to e-mail you guys stuff since I can't find your contact.

Did anyone else see the live video ad on the NXE? it happened about 20 minutes ago. I think it was with a Basketball Star wearing a powder blue jersey...

I'm slightly suprised you haven't heard about coolers voiding the warranty.

The first cooler for the 360 actually used the 360s PSU for power, and would draw more power than the PSU was meant to provide, it actually caused burning to the casing of the console.

As for the VGA cable, most games for the Xbox work as they were nearly all 60hz, but just make sure it states 60hz.
