We're as tired as you are of getting missives from the front lines of the console wars, so we're relieved to hear that they'll finally be behind us after this week's Consumer Electronics Show. Capcom will settle the fight once and for all on Saturday in Las Vegas, pitting the best Microsoft rep against Sony's pick in a battle for Street Fighter IV supremacy. The loser has agreed to stop making their console forever and ever, so the stakes are pretty high.
... Yes, we made that last part up, but we're going to keep our fingers crossed.

Could always make a special Wii edition, thus making it fair for all (then maybe the Wii could get this in 480p)

As stated on the PS Blog by Jeff himself, "a round on each. If it goes to 3 rounds, probably a coin flip."

Justin, you are the best of the bunch. You should be able to say "I" I laugh from many of your articles.

Yes but what if it really is we, what if the work relationships in the office helps them vibe from one another to create interesting articles and stories. Maybe he created the gist but somebody added a word here or an idea there. Nothing wrong with sharing the love in a successful endeavor.

No way - then some guy who does nothing but play street fighter 4 (or similar) all day would already rule the world from his parent's basement.

... it would be interesting if the sony rep had to use 360's controller and the microsoft rep used the ps3's controller. Did I mention how much I also like turtles?

I am STILL torn on what system I'm getting this for. If I'm getting it at all. Still pissed off SFIII was completely shunned while fucking ROSE makes the roster. I can't get any Dudley or Ibuki or Twelve up in this bitch? At least Alex.

SFIII was a financial bomb in it's prime (it took years for Capcom to make back their investment in the game), while PSX Alpha 3 was the last SF to sell over a million copies. It's more likely non-hardcore fans are going to recognize Rose over Alex or Elena.

But they already have Dan and Sakura from the Alpha series. In fact, Gen and Rose coming along too is overkill. In fact, that makes four characters from the alpha line. While anything from III is completely ignored.
You can argue who is going to be recognized but Gen?!? REALLY?!? And keep in mind Alex is apparently good enough to show up in Tatsunoku Vs. Capcom on Wii but not SFIV....

Very astute, gun. And in general, I am. I feel what Capcom has done with SFIV is squandered an opportunity to introduce a large number of new characters in favor of fan (?) favorites. Of the new characters, only Crimson Viper looks cool and I hate to say it but Capcom doesn't exactly have the best character designs for their main series. But since Crimson Viper and Abel are the only decent looking new characters, I have to resign myself to the fact that old ones will be returning. And if Rose and Gen make the cut, why can't SFIII at least get 1 character in? I mean what Capcom has done with SFIV in general is write SFIII out of the cannon (takes place before SFIII). And they even brought M Bison back to life....

From what I've read the game's coming out for PC, so the ps3 guy can plug his controller in and use homebrew drivers and the 360 guy can buy that 360 clone controller for the pc that microsoft makes...fair, no?
...probably won't happen though, they'll likely both use a 3rd party pad or arcade stick that comes in both flavors to make it fair.
Looks like this is going to be one hell of a fight!

There is no 360 "clone" controller Microsoft makes. Its simply a 360 controller. The windows branded ones they sell come with a driver disk. To use the wireless ones you need a receiver Microsoft sells, but the wired ones work right out of the box. I keep a wired XBox controller for XNA stuff.
