Resident Evil 5, Star Ocean 4 Xbox 360 bundles headed to Japan
Japan continues to receive special Xbox 360 bundles, as Microsoft rolls out the neon green carpet treatment for Resident Evil 5 and Star Ocean: The Last Hope. The Biohazard RE5 bundle, which retails for approximately $370, features your standard 60 gigglebyte Xbox unit, along with a remote control clicker and the game's limited edition bonuses.
The Star Ocean 4 bundle comes with an Xbox Arcade unit (with 256MB of storage) and retails for about $263. It features an original face plate and the Star Ocean soundtrack collection. You can check out an image of that bundle after the break.

nice........
Although I'm curious as to if they will release in the states........
Foetoid @ Jan 6th 2009 6:33PM
360 sales are pretty good in the states so M$ probably won't feel the need to bundle it to boost sales.

hell their sales aint THAT bad in Japan.....they just trying to kick Sony in the teeth........lol
Tez @ Jan 6th 2009 6:35PM
Guess they have to try something in Japan.
AoE @ Jan 6th 2009 7:17PM
to keep the good system sales they've been enjoying over the last couple of quarters going you mean?
Tez @ Jan 6th 2009 7:21PM
I'd imagine they are trying to increase sales, but sure.

"360 Sales up in japan...Still trails sony and Nintendo by 300%."
Eternal @ Jan 6th 2009 6:44PM
@ vexx its simple why we don't get bundles like that because the 360 needs more sales in Asia the 360 is popular in the states already, but having that bundle wouldn't hurt either.
Flame @ Jan 6th 2009 6:45PM
*Sigh* Japan is spoiled by Sony, Nintendo and Mcrosoft (I know, the American company >.>). I'd get that RE5 bundle in a heart beat.
AwesomeTown @ Jan 6th 2009 6:50PM
I really want both games.

Xbox sales in Japan ARE that bad...300 units sold a week, except for that short period they sold out of their stock for 1 game....even playstation sales in NA are incredible compared to japan xbox sales.
Tez @ Jan 6th 2009 7:22PM
They are nowhere near as bad as you say. They usually sit around 10,000 a week recently.
Arnon @ Jan 6th 2009 11:29PM
Huh? I've never seen the 360 at 300 units.. in fact, it's been sitting at 11,000-30,000 for the past like 2 months I think.
Doug @ Jan 6th 2009 6:51PM
Why does anyone who already owns a 360 care? Are you going to buy another one because of the game that is bundled with it? Serious question.
Tez @ Jan 6th 2009 7:21PM
Because they are fanboys obsessed with seeing their console 'win'
AoE @ Jan 6th 2009 7:22PM
Yeah, why not? Having more than one of console around is never a bad thing (with the exception of those of us that live in 1 room studios) I probably wouldn't spring for the RE5 bundle, but a LE bundle-only faceplate is enough to make me consider (mind you this sort of thing is only effective if it's for a game/series I really like)... if they release the damned bundle in the US that is, I don't want to own a Japanese-region console again personally.
