Rumor: New Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six this year

CVG claims to have information, originating from a "secret mouthpiece," that indicates Ubisoft is ready to roll out new installments of Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six this year. Strangely, the mouthpiece forgot to note if these would be sequels to the original titles, to GR: Advanced Warfighter and Rainbow Six Vegas (unlikely) ... or totally new franchises altogether.

In other news, a secret Nintendo mouthpiece tells Joystiq that Mario will be featured in some product this year. Hard to believe, we know, but you're just gonna have to trust us on this one.

Games with Tom Clancy in the title are always surprisingly mediocre. I will never buy another Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 Advanced Warfighter or some other exceeding long titled and boring game. You can stick a turd in a shiny box, but in the end its still a turd.

so what games do you consider not to be mediocre?

Did you play GRAW? If that's just mediocre then you have way too high of needs.

eh...I'm not a big fan of either of these. I played the first Ghost Recon games on PC way back in the day (the one with the Island Thunder exp. pack) -- they were interesting, but I guess I prefer more guns ablazing.

As far as Vegas is concerned, the quietness of the levels bored me more than anything.

To each his own, though. :)
