Zangief Chronicles reveals real-world struggles of Street Fighter
We don't know why Zangief Chronicles exists, but we're glad it does. Sent to Capcom as a New Year's gift, this video series reveals some juicy details on the life (and loves!) of everyone's favorite shirtless Russian Street Fighter. You can catch all the episodes here.

Yea they did.. and much better at that. Though they kinda dropped it mid way for some reason. Or,at least, I haven't seen a new episode in a very long time.

That series actually ended, though. :P It had an ending.

Zangief is also a homosexual he is one of only two confirmed gay characters in Capcom lore. So the speed dating one makes no sense (canonically speaking.)
Jake B @ Jan 7th 2009 5:40PM
They had to pick Zangief to be the gay one? Assholes.
jon @ Jan 7th 2009 4:38PM

Fairly poor. Decent premise, but they really had some great opportunities they missed out on:
"Please get in back seat with Zangief. I show you spinning pile driver."
The list goes on.

Awesome.
Roto13 @ Jan 7th 2009 5:23PM
Zangief isn't supposed to be fat.
Jake B @ Jan 7th 2009 5:41PM
He's just not flexing.
J-Link @ Jan 7th 2009 5:56PM
Poor Zangief. He had to endure Police Academy 4 in the end...

It sucks to be stucked in the friend zone isn't it?
The image of that guy in a red Speedo will haunt me for the rest of the day.

I believe the actor is, in fact, Jeff Gerstmann. I do like him in the role. He captures the innocence and pathos that I've always associated with Zangief. But, yeah, Zangief likes men and we will be addressing his homosexuality head-on in the new TV spin-off of "Street Fighter: The Later Years", called, "Street Fighter Reunion". Most of the original cast is back and I will be portraying Zangief again.
