Hm, that does suck! It would have been like celebrating your great uncle's 100th birthday on their death bed though. Maybe it's better they kick the bucket a week before.

And nothing hurts more than rubbing a slat in the wound. It's all splintery and stuff.

It is interesting that they still have the "Subscibe to EGM" link to sign up for a subscription, https://www.zdmcirc.com/zdmcirc/default.asp?LK=Edit_ML&I=egam.

I kind of miss the magazine days. I know that instant access of the internet is better in virtually every way, but I fondly remember the feeling of getting a new EGM in the mail.

Remember when EGM used to get huge leading up to Christmas? The issues would have expand to be a couple of hundred pages of goodness. I really miss that. Oh well, time marches on.

Why is a circulation of 550-650k not enough to sustain a magazine? I'd have thought that'd have generated a profit considering how they'd not need much staff. The gaming magazine I get in the UK has a staff list of about 20 people.

Wow!! In the link with a picture of all the the covers I remember buying the issue with Sonic on the Green cover 6th row. Also the one with Laura Croft 2 issues before that. This was really a long time ago.

that screenshot brings back memories. I still have most of the early 90's issues somewhere packed up.

I slowed down when every other review knocked games for having "fetch quests". They started to hate almost EVERY GAME.

it's kinda sad to see it go because it's kinda fun running into old issues and remembering the old days.

I know Milky is still upset... but to be fair to UGO, no other company wanted the magazine either.

How can a print magazine selling 600 000 copies NOT make a profit?

A magazine with that circulation could be financed on advertizing alone.

I WISH YOU COULD TOUCH YOURSELF.
