What is the big deal with pre-ordering a game that you are GOING to buy?

Complain, complain, complain...it's the IN thing to do in 2009.

This is looking pretty good. Hopefully they decided to invest more resources into this than the original game. The strategy elements could be worth a look.

Hm... might give it a try anyway. Hope that there's some sort of demo coming out.

You get access to a slightly better character to give you a running start. I like that sort of pre-order / gold edition goodie; it's not overpowering like the Bad Company weapons, and it's not worthless like 95% of all other bonus items.

does it matter where you pre-order the game from to get the extra content?
