New screens and a trailer for Prototype
22
Activision has dropped some new screens and a brand new trailer for Prototype, its upcoming mutant-powered destruct-o-thon. Every new screen has one thing in common: All of them are dripping with blood or some other variety of viscous goo. The trailer has its fair share of liquid life as well. Oh, and the video also features someone taking out a helicopter by throwing a person at it (that seems familiar somehow). See the glorious, gory action after the break and check out the new screens in the gallery below.

Nice caption, Richard!
Have you guys ever thought of running a caption competition instead of random drawings for Fanswags?

This reminds me of Assassin's Creed.

Assassin's Creed? Are you serious? Reminds me of Crackdown.

I'm not really sure what people find so appealing about this game. It doesn't look much better than a glorified Hulk game from 3 years ago. The graphics just feel weak in everything I've seen so far.
Seriously, what is the appeal?

Well to me personally graphicsisn't nearly the most important aspect of a game. I'm not an expert on any level, but the graphics in this game looks good to me.
Banjoo Kazooi had great graphics, but if a had to choose between driving some weird car, and elbow dropping a tank to smash it, run up walls and glide down through the streets of new york, I definitely know what I'd pick.

Funny you should mention... Radical Entertainment developed the Hulk game that came out in 2005.
As for the appeal though? It's their own IP so they're not restricted in regards to what they do to the city, characters, etc... The gameplay also looks quite a bit smoother than either of the hulk games had... but honestly? I am curious myself, but Radical Entertainment isn't exactly a totally trustworthy developer, and Activision is most certainly not a trustworthy publisher... so who knows? At least it's not yet another generic first person shooter...

I'm stoked for this game but I have to admit the graphics look pretty lame. I really hope they tighten it up a little more. Looks like a PS2 game right now.

hulk + Assassin's creed+ spider man= Prototype

I just think of this as Crackdown 2: Freaks of New York.
Seriously. This game seems pretty much identical to Crackdown, except your body can morph a bit.

It's going to be a battle between Infamous and Prototype.
So far, with the little we've seen on both games, they're kind of evenly matched.
Although my vote goes towards Prototype as having the edge in the future. We'll see.
