PSN Thursday: Qore drills deep into Killzone 2
If you listened carefully, you might have heard the PSN update this week. It was really small and didn't make much noise, but we assure you ... it happened. It added a new episode of Qore and two new DLC games, including Cuboid. Beyond that, there's new tracks for everyone's favorite plastic instrument games. The complete North American PSN update can be found after the break.
PS3 Fanboy has the European PSN update, but it isn't much better over there either.

What about the PSP?
ikiryou @ Jan 8th 2009 7:10PM
Unfortunately, Sony has adopted the practice of trying to attract new customers while ignoring their current ones. The PSP and the people who own it are being peed on. *looks up at sky and wipes wet shoulder*
Deric Lee @ Jan 8th 2009 7:32PM
Which is why I traded in my PSP last week for $75..
Shangheli @ Jan 8th 2009 7:33PM
that's because everyone who owns a PSP stealz gamez.
Sora @ Jan 8th 2009 7:34PM
Meh, I'm just keeping mine for homebrew/emulation (custom firmware ftw!), Dissidia, and Kingdom Hearts:Birth by Sleep.
Sora @ Jan 8th 2009 7:35PM
Shangheli, if that's actually the reason, it's the equivalent of cable companies completely shutting down service to their legitimate customers to keep people from stealing cable. Or, more accurately, bands quitting the music industry because some people pirate their music.
Shangheli @ Jan 8th 2009 7:37PM
majortiy of people still buy music and pay for cable. I don't know anyone who actually buys psp games. I don't own a psp but alot of people buy them with the plan to pirate games.
Sora @ Jan 8th 2009 7:40PM
Weird, everyone I know with a PSP *doesn't* pirate games... But still, curbing piracy by making it so there's nothing to pirate is like castrating yourself to get rid of genital warts...
Okay, no more analogies for me O_o
Hashbrown Hunter @ Jan 8th 2009 8:05PM
It's naive to say everyone who owns a PSP steals games, but it's also naive to ignore the fact that the PSP is suffering from piracy on the same level as the PC is. Hardware sales are going strong but software sales are non-existent.

I buy PSP games. I had custom firmware and dabbled in downloading torrents and what have you but my conscience got the better of me. Besides, pretty pathetic to steal games instead of purchasing them. Custom firmware is good for emulation purposes though.

"Unfortunately, Sony has adopted the practice of trying to attract new customers while ignoring their current ones"
This strategy sounds oddly familiar. I wonder where I could have seen this before...
umm....hello??? @ Jan 8th 2009 7:19PM
DLC for Rock Revolution? did anyone even buy that game? I saw it at Target the other day for $19.99...I still wouldn't get it if it was free...
|MaguS| @ Jan 8th 2009 7:29PM
What crap! The FEAR 2 Demo doesn't unlock till the 15th.
MajorHoorah @ Jan 8th 2009 7:42PM
hahahahahahahaha rock revolution has dlc..i also cant believe that they got pantera :(
DonkeyBarf @ Jan 8th 2009 11:56PM
Ya but it's all covered by another band, it's not actually Pantera
Levi @ Jan 8th 2009 7:47PM
WHERE THE HELL IS SAVAGE MOON??? And Astro Tripper...
We were supposed to get these games last month, for cryin' out loud.
Little Big PSN ID: johnnynumber5 @ Jan 8th 2009 8:42PM
Said the same exact thing on PS3 Fanboy. I don't know what's taking so long for Savage Moon to come out here in the states. I want that game with a fierce passion.
Nomi @ Jan 8th 2009 9:16PM
Wow...the KZ vid was crap...very little gameplay and crap load of talking.
J @ Jan 9th 2009 1:37AM
The climax of this qore episode was seeing Veronica bent over, in the Heavy Rain preview, while she was using motion capture.
The look on her face is priceless. It was a mix of confusion and pleasure.
You're such a damn tease, Veronica. Stop acting so innocent. I know you're a freak.
Oh there i go again.
Levi @ Jan 9th 2009 2:43PM
Dunno, I thought it showed just enough. FEAR 2 looked awesome
Levi @ Jan 9th 2009 2:45PM
This ep of Qore has made my mind up about Heavy Rain. It is off my list. The guy said "it's not a game,' and that's it for me. I don't spend the full $30-35 on Blu-Ray movies, why would I spend $60 on a PS3 exclusive CG movie with QTE's as the main action element? I'm not really trying to put it down, but it's definitely not going to be my style.
FEAR 2 looks awesome tho, and KZ2 just keeps looking better and better.
