You've got to be kidding. British accents?! DO NOT WANT.

Wait, so Japanese voice actors did British accented English in a game that takes place in japan, because this is the European version? That's kind of weird.

I'm kind of confused. Do you select which character you want to be for throughout the whole game or does it switch off between characters for different levels?

If it's anything like the old Tenchus, you can choose between the two characters, but they'll have different (but parallel) missions...

That english accent isn't exactly wrong, and I can't hear any other accent creeping through, but it's just a tad over the top. And it makes no sense because if the characters are supposed to be Japanese, why give one of them an English accent, and the other American?

That English accent is one of many to choose from, and they should have used a far better one than that, not to mention the historical inaccuracy of 'these kidnappings and murders don't earn me a bloody CENT' are they serious? That is retarded, they could have easily done some basic research and given the dialogue an overhaul, not to mention the accents.

But all in all, that was shocking voice work, ayame should have been japanese ffs but i'm still buying it.

Pshaw, it's all about Rikimaru.
Though Ayame's flexible and fast and could do various techniques, Riki keeps it straight and to the point.
Doesn't need fancy moves to stealth kill.

they better offer an option to switch to Japanese audio with english subtitles.

That voice acting is HORRIBLE and will potentially ruin the game for me

I've come to expect voice acting in games to be terrible these days. But it's not going to stop me from buying the game. Though you won't see me rushing out to buy it since I have too many games to finish already, and I want MadWorld and Sonic Black Knight more so....

Is this a remake of the (original?) game for the PS1? That entire video seemed like the scenario from one of the very first levels of the PS1 game.

Really actually, the British accent is closer to Japanese than the American accent, both the British accent and Japanese accent change based on status of society, also upper class Brits pronounce vowels similar to the Japanese vowel system A - "Ar" (Charnce for Chance pronounced more like "R")instead of the American version which is like a squeeky "Ah".

Now this guy has a very lower class british accent (where the American/Australian accent originally formed from mixing with Irish and scottish) which makes no sense for a upper class official like him.
