It's like Christmas all over again for Blizzard fans. The company showed off new images of Starcraft II just a few days ago. But wait! There's more in that bag o' goodies. Blizzard just updated the Diablo III website with five brand new action-packed screenshots. This sneak peak reveals a towering enemy, some magic spells, and moody fog-filled environments. Considering Blizzard's penchant for painstakingly slow development, clicking on these images will be closest thing to playing the game we'll have for a very long time.

Because his head is back making him look bald. (He isn't.)

Don't worry, he won't look like Kratos as soon as this guy finds a socketed tunic.

Going on past Blizzard history, this game will run on any PC made in the last 12 years.

retard comment of the day..Everyone knows Blizzard makes games for the "PC Challenged" and MAC losers alike. Don't worry your panties console boy, everyone's invited to the party, no extra hardware needed to play.

It's not going to.
Blizzards first console game will be Starcraft: Ghost, whenever they get back to working on it.

I think at one point they said it was possible. But seeing the great success of Starcraft: Ghost on the consoles, I doubt it'll ever happen.
I just want a damned release date.

The only way this will hit consoles is if you attack your 360 with the case.

Seems that console sales are just too big for companies to ignore - lots of money to be made there.
And equating quality with how many platforms you develop for... ummm ever heard of Valve?

Lario,
First off, Valve makes the PC platform the lead, and then ports to 360, which is basically identical. Valve doesn't bother with Sony's Arch, it's too tedious and dev'd assbackwards, which is typical Japonophile fashion. Blizzards games are made around the mouse and keyboard, so until MS and Sony get their head out of their ass and allow for it, it isn't happening.
Valve and Blizzard are the best of the best(Don't forget Relic either, DoW 2 is gonna be GoTY from what it's looking like in 2009, at the very least on PC) on PC becuase they place SO MUCH emphasis on making the best games possible on the least amount of platforms. CoD1 and United Offensive(Exp. Pack) are STILL Infinity Ward's best work, then CoD4, which was multiplatform, BUT, was WAY WAY WAY too short in content, and the mulitplatform was one of the factors, it's in many of their interviews.
Infinity Ward was an amazing PC only developer(like they all seem to be at one point) and is why they make such great games. It wasn't until CoD2 that the 360 launched from, but since that was Multiplat, it wasn't nearly as good, and if you ask any PC gamer that played CoD1 + UO, they'll tell you the same. The quality and quantity is second to none by comparison. Still, amazing games, but limited. I wish IW would stick to PC and 360, and farm out the PS3 like Valve, but the sales form the PS3 were pretty good, around 4 mil I think, still less then the PC though..

Anyone else think the lighting on the characters doesn't do a very good job of matching the lighting in the background?
It looks like Mr. Barbarian should get a pretty good tan in that light, yet the background is dark and moody...
(P.S. I don't mind the colors, just the lighting)

sure, it's also possible that they will be selling it exlusively from a gamestop on the moon, but if we talk about everything that's possible, you know?
starcraft ghost could also come back, blizzards own online distribution, blizzard console studio etc etc etc...

Blizzard should just use Steam.
And there was a perfectly legitimate reason why they POSTPONED Starcraft:Ghost, the consoles it would have released on would have been last gen, and they didn't believe it would do very well because of that. They don't have this problem with PC's because the platform remains relatively stable no matter how many lifetimes it takes for them to develop a game.
Depending on how long this generation of consoles will last I will place a bet down that Ghost will come back, mainly because noone will ever remember I said it and try to take my precious moneys :P

I love Blizzard, and I want a Blizzard quality product on release, but damn, so much awesome video and screenshots for a game that might release in 2011? Not cool.
