I didn't want to come back to this game till they released this 1.3 patch. I've been playing for about two hours now, and must say, everything runs very smooth and bug free. Only problem I've had so far is some connection issues, which I assume is coming from the overload of people downloading the 500MB patch. Still, Socom is back in action, and I really hope everyone else gives this game a legitimate chance again.

What the hell happened to the previous news? It was about GTA IV DLC coming on Feb. 17th! Ohh... Is this comment going to perhaps get deleted like the article?

Two men in suits just knocked on my door. One of them has a strange looking wand.

I actually have been holding off purchasing Socom Confrontation until a lot of the errors have been fixed.

It seems 1.30 has done some of that, I will keep asking friends and watching the playstation.com forums to see if it is worth my money or not.

the headset is pretty damn sweet. When I bought the package, I viewed my purchase as me buying a headset, and getting a game for free.

It's been at the top the whole time. Bugs or no, there's nothing like the SOCOM experience.

I plan with a clan, so we're always coordinated; and yes, it is very important to the game. This game doesn't shine unless you've got a group of people to rely on.

I'll have to give it another go then, put the game down after about 4 hours of play time, so I am really hoping this made the game better.

Can you justify paying $60 bucks for a really good headset that comes with a free game?

its still beyond me why they rushed a bug riddled game out only to compete in the same time frame as resistance 2 and LBP. Def should have waited and maybe released in december,or early january right before KZ 2

For shame.

Same problem here. When I play online, I just want new people to shoot at. I don't care about clans, stats, or trophies. Why is a storyline so hard?

I went to try it out late last night. I let the patch download while I played World at war on 360. When it finished the PS3 restarted to the game main screen with the confrontation image and music and I could not get past that part to find a game or even shut off the PS3. it didn't act frozen because I could bring up the xmb but I couldn't search for a game, quit the game or shut it off. I flipped the switch in the back and went to bed.

Traded in Socom for COD: World at War. Zero regrets. All those problems took way too long to get fixed. At least I kept the headset. Its pretty sweet.

Counting down to KZ2. Hopefully come launch date, it won't not have the same on-line problems like Socom.
