Okay, perhaps the turd analogy was a slightly crude one.
But my point remains that I don't want to be paying for something I don't want. How often do you go out and buy something you don't need? Because that isn't very good consumer logic.

And what do you mean 'the fastest internet is only 12mbps'? What underdeveloped rural area do you live in?? 12mb/s is really not fast at all... 50mb/s is available in my area... :S

To say you don't want to pay for something you don't need is fair, but it is not, however, to bash the PS3 for it. Also at the same time, it could be said that from the right perspective, you're not even paying for the wifi compared to an Arcade with a 120 gb harddrive and an xbl membership, but that's pushing it and I'm not honestly going to try to make that argument.
At the same time though, the price difference between the PS3 and pretty much any 360 sku is justified by other features besides the wifi, such as the blu ray player and free (consider it "included") PSN membership.
As for the internet speed, a cable modem has a theoretical PEAK performance of 30 mbps (there's a great chance that information is misrepresented somewhere due to confusion between mbps (bits) and MBps (bytes); in other words, I could be wrong about these number and I admit that, but I'm just putting it as I've learned it).

Well.. the PS3 has a better ratio-sales, and the 360 has the best total given the launch in 2005.
Vgchartz says its 20m for the PS3 and 28m for the 360.

I wonder how many units its is per person. Because I've bought three 360s myself due to one being K.I.A, so i had to buy a new one and later on i bought the elite.

i have all three systems and the ps3 online game mode is terrible, everytime i play mk vs dc i get disconnected and freezes, i even hooked it up with an ethernet cable to see if it was a low wifi signal, but the problem continued, couple of days later i decided to rent mk vs dc from blockbuster for the 360 and it was sweet as usual , no crashes about a thousand players more to play against, and the netflix streaming option on the 360 is mad cool, i got my kids watching my old cartoons. in reality once you have a ps3, you will soon find you way just playing your xbox 360, but hey i brought the ps3 for its blueray capability,,,,heyy one last thing i had ps2 and the regular xbox and ps1,,,however wich controller do you guys feel more comfortable, with? ohh and only answer if you have both please,,,no fanboy replies...since its my first time i would like to say that the wii is so wack , its more of a gimmick,,however the game zelda, and resident evil on the wii version was hot,,,,

and the xbox (arcade model) in australia costs $300 AUD and the ps3 (80gb) costs $700 AUD. i think the ps3 is a bit more of a "burden on the wallet" in australia. the wii is $388 AUD. there's a big price difference beetween 360 and ps3. ps3 is NOT great value, it is the most expensive console to date! oh and btw to any ps3 fanboy, PS3 SUCKS! oh and right now gh3 is free if u buy the arcade console from eb games (gamestop in america)
