Far Cry 2 is quite a bit of fun...the map editor for me especially. I just hope they get an update out for it soon to fix some issues and add working lights to the map editor.

Xav, what iPhone games are you playing? Rolando is amazing. I've been playing a lot of games on my iPod touch as my 360 is in Texas being repaired (it died the day after Xmas).

I'm totally in agreement with Xav that Fallout 3 rocks. I level capped at 20 a few weeks ago and right now I'm waiting to get the 'Operation Anchorage' DLC so my gaming points don't go to waste prior to the level cap raise. I suppose I could explore a few remaining areas.

*Note to the community: the Nuka Cola factory is pretty tough. Gear up ahead of time with plenty of Stealthboys, regardless what you're armed with.

Speaking of ranking and levelling up, I'm right now trying to unlock some decent guns in W@W with some friends each night. They've been playing the game since launch; I waited to get mine from Santa. It's been somewhat of a grind to get guns, but a pseudo-fun grind anyway. Played some competitive co-op with a friend last night with the Death Cards active..explosive communist headshots FTW!

I'd like to finish Silent Hill Homecoming and eventually, GTA IV before the DLC for that game hits, too.

Richard has me once again interested in Far Cry 2..

What game modes do you play? Headquarters is best for leveling if you have a good team. Easy experience. Thats what i play. Or what i would be playing. =P

I thought the level cap was coming with the third DLC pack only??...I thought I read in March or something. Anybody know if a level cap increase is coming in the Anchorage DLC pack?

Magic Whiskey has been drinking too much..... magic whiskey - the level cap will indeed be included in the March DLC, not operation Anchorage. Sorry to burst everyone's bubble.

I'd say to work on some Far Cry 2. This game really pulls you in... and at least that's what I'll be doing this weekend! The driving sometimes gets a bit annoying (because there's so much of it), but overall it's an awesome game.

I'll also be playing a bunch of COD: W@W, I just can't get enough of this game online! Two nights ago I got a 17 kills streak... and I still consider my 9 consecutive dog attacks to be counted as MY kills (though my friend begs to differ).

If you are a fan of driving around for ridiculous amounts of time, then I suggest Far Cry 2.

I haven't played Far Cry 2 yet, I'm saving that one for when I finish my rig. Fable and Prince are both great. Depends on what you're in the mood for. Prince is heavily platformer oriented, and the swordplay takes a lot if skill, but very rewarding. Fable is very good at sucking away your whole weekend.

Prince of Persia, it has a really really great story that'll keep you playing, and it has great gameplay. Also, the bosses are super cool :D

If you are a fan of fantasticness, FC2.
Fable II is just as fantastic, but it's shorter.
POP, I've never liked.

L4D (Play and Win weekend), probably some BioShock, and I might finally unwrap Assassin's Creed (I went nuts on Black Friday). Of course, when the kids are awake, I'll probably stick to arcade games like Zuma or Astro Pop.

Assassin's Creed is a good one. Be warned if you're really in to achievements. There's one that's very easy to miss within the first quarter of the game.

It was a bit repetitive but I did really have a ton of fun with the game and hope Ubisoft comes up with a sequel.

More Fallout 3. On my way through the game the second time is pretty fun, as I notice some things that I missed before (Alien Spaceship FTW!)

Incredible Dustin, just incredible!

I had a hard time getting into Far Cry 2. It was a beautiful game. I came around a corner on a boat once, to a river delta and my jaw just dropped. But I had a really hard time getting past the ridiculous respawn times on the guard posts and the fact that it took so long to go back and forth for missions. I also was hit with the save bug.. and a few different times I saved yet it never showed up so I was forced to do it over again. Perhaps that has more to do with it than anything. Maybe I should try it out again later on down the road.

As for the weekend: Left 4 Dead with some buddies. We're system linking tonight so we can get four people in the same room. That plus some beer..should be a damn good time. Still playing world at war multiplayer as well, got hooked on the War gameplay. Pretty good.

And... still exploring in Fallout 3. Which after more hours have decided that it is my GOTY for 2008. It is beautiful (in an apocalypse sort of way), engaging, gigantic and just SO much fun.

I bought Dead Space the first week it was out and I finally cracked it open last night. I've logged almost 5 hours since then and just finished Chapter 4. I'm loving it! The only thing is I never know which guns to upgrade with the power nodes. I started making my plasma cutter really strong, but now I'm having doubts.

Other than that, I got L4D for x-mas but still haven't given it any time. Maybe I'll throw that in as well.

Like Xav, I too will be trying to shed some pounds. However, I'll not let that get in the way of gaming - I'll be sweating in my lounge, leaping about on a dance mat like a epilectic at a rave.

Fallout has me in it's clutches again, and I'll put in some L4D for Play & Win goodness.

Then maybe a touch of Banjo, and I'll break out the flight stick for some Ace Combat.

I've put aside Sunday for gaming. I have to work on Saturday, and the wife's out all day on Sunday, so it's just me and the 360 all day. Bliss.

Richard, No More Heroes is absolutely fantastic. Its the one game that truely nearly stopped me selling my Wii.

If you play Gears of War or GOW2 after it, you'll notice General Kim has the same voice as Travis.

I had been frustrated with a certain GTA IV mission, and hadn't played for a few days. I was greeted this morning with nearly a foot of snow and a snow day, so I decided to give it a shot, and beat it! I beat a couple other missions too. Good progress there.

Ooh, I tried the Skate 2 Demo earlier today too. Walking around seems kind of 'chunky'.

I hate it, but I didn't like Oblivion and I still don't like Fallout 3. I've put quite a few hours into it, but the same issues I had in Oblivion I have here. I'm just not connecting to the characters. I don't care about them, I don't like them.

It feels so vacant.

The fact that I can ACTUALLY kill someone in a bar and have the other patrons wander around going "Doodeedoo" is only one of MANY problems I have with it.

I just... don't... get it.

Anyone want to buy my copy? ;)

There's nothing weird about playing Diablo II. Playing a Necro and having the goal of making level 30, that's strange.

I'll be trying to finish Gears 2 on Insane this weekend. I had taken a two week break from Gears until last night when I played some Horde. It was shocking how much worse I was after a two week hiatus (and I was pretty bad at the game even at my peak).

I think I'm also going to cash in my remaining Bill Gates Dollars and get Braid and Bionic Commando.

well i'm going to say some blasphemous things on this website, but during this winter break, i went insane and bought some older ps and ps2 games I either had not played or had gotten rid of about 10 years ago when I was too young to have a job but needed some cash for games.

Final Fantasy 7
Final Fantasy 8
Final Fantasy 9
God of War
God of War 2

Also got Lego Batman and Prince of Persia for the 360 in the mail, so i should be set until 2010...:)

It's astonishing to me that it has taken this long for far cry 2 to gain recognition from so many. I ran through the game weeks before any faqs were released (foregoing to prima official, of course). It's time for people to start judging whether or not to play games based on their own merit, not on how good the marketing is.

just a random question pertaining sort of to the picture....has anyone had problems with fallout 3?

I recently bought it and i get to level four, walk around a little bit, and then it freezes. It's happened a good 4 times now and i think it's going to keep happening....it happens around the same spot on the map two, and theres no scratches on the disc and its brand new....not sure what to do, hopefully target will take it back but i'm not sure...

any help would be appreciated...
