CES 2009: The gaming sliver of Sony's ginormous booth

Sony's a pretty big company. Shocker, right? They're busy putting out things like new digital cameras, wafer-thin displays, televisions that show realistic 3D images, and some new piece of tech that replaces your brain with a network of recycled Memory Sticks. Amazing.
Still, with all that going on they do still manage to churn out games. Only a tiny part of their booth at CES was dedicated to gaming, but they managed to fit in Patapon 2, Killzone 2, Resistance: Retribution, Flower and an in-progress EyeToy game. Check them all out in the gallery below.

I'm just curios if 4D gaming which is something Sony(or is it just Joystiq) seem to be making a big deal out of will actually catch on and become mainstream.
Hopefully, Resistance 3 will be played in fully 3D!

3D gaming alone, I don't think would be widely accepted, and Sony also seems to know that, hence why they are pushing 3D on Blu-Ray movies and apparently also in theaters...

What? There are blu ray movies in 3d already!? Which ones? Tell me before I google it!

[10:19] The Big K thinks that 3D will reenergize film audiences, and Dreamworks Animation has completely retooled its production line to make 3D movies.

3d gaming won't be widely accepted? Didn't people say the same thing about the Wii?

Why is a kid at CES?
Or maybe he's a midget tech journalist and we're being insensitive to him.

j.howlett @ Jan 11th 2009 9:17PM
that picture is likely bigger than my current tv, and i think it has to do with it being a psp game
Bukster @ Jan 12th 2009 11:16AM
A kid playing an M-Rated game. Would they let him sit there and watch porn as well?
