Seen @ CES 2009: A man too tough for gadgets

On the way to Microsoft's booth, we encountered a man clearly so tough that he doesn't even need to class up one of the world's largest electronics shows by including shirt sleeves. Just in case that didn't get the point across, the writing on the back of the shirt says it all. This is clearly a man who ain't takin' any lip from some puny HDTV pitchman. Even Scrat in the back can't believe his attire.

Dr Jeckyl and Mr ESC. @ Jan 11th 2009 8:37PM
I don't know you but I was tempted to post "Not your personal Army".
Shmil @ Jan 11th 2009 8:57PM
I can't say I get the joke, but I think "Yer Daddy" is a pretty cool guy, he wears sleeveless shirts and doesn't afraid of anything.
Trickob @ Jan 11th 2009 8:57PM
I did a double take when I realized that this wasn't posted by Justin.
The Dark Wayne @ Jan 11th 2009 9:13PM
the personal army thing is from 4chan, but i cant see why it applies here either
Dr Jeckyl and Mr ESC. @ Jan 11th 2009 9:26PM
I think my brain was turned off when I posted that or I abuse of the Copy / Paste buttons of my keyboard more than what I should.
I have a cold so probably was the fever talking. You know what, vote me down into oblivion and call it a day.
Brendan H @ Jan 11th 2009 8:36PM
Right after this photo was taken, "Yer Daddy" punched that HDTV for looking at him.
Dr Jeckyl and Mr ESC. @ Jan 11th 2009 8:38PM
No He just slapped him while repeating “who is your Daddy?” To demoralize him even more.
Bouille @ Jan 11th 2009 9:06PM
No! He's so tough the HDTV punched itself in the face for looking at him.
Dr Jeckyl and Mr ESC. @ Jan 11th 2009 8:36PM
So is this about some dude in CES?
*sigh Oh well I have attacked people for lesser stuff.
DEAD TO THE SLEVELESS JERK!!!
My Daddy is optimus prime so suck it.
BIGGEN (LIVE-PSN: BIGGEN1103) @ Jan 11th 2009 8:45PM
HA! THIS is awesome! my wife and i have a game we play. it's called "Man's Man." sort of like "Punch Bug" only no violence is involved. you call out "Man's Man!" then you have name all the things off about the dude that makes him a man's man as fast as you can. in this case, it would be "Man's Man!" -Sleeveless Who's Your Daddy Shirt! -Barbed Wire Tattoo! see how much fun it can be? you should all start to play this game. not only does it draw attention to how ridiculous they are, but also how hard some people try. and it's hours of fun for you and your friends!
halo 3 sucks. @ Jan 11th 2009 8:50PM
Whatever helps your marriage...
Mike Sylvester @ Jan 11th 2009 8:51PM
I just noticed that the barbed wire tattoo doesn't even go all the way around. He much have told them to stop when they were approaching a sensitive spot.
Shmil @ Jan 11th 2009 8:53PM
It looks like he's holding something in his left hand. Do you lose points for calling out something that isn't there? Because I'd add a tallboy to that list.
Moptimus Slime (Leader of the Ryan Scott Defense Force, Fatass come back. You can blaim it all on me) @ Jan 11th 2009 8:58PM
what about that patch of red hair in the middle of his skull? And the obvious over-gelling of his hair?
BIGGEN (LIVE-PSN: BIGGEN1103) @ Jan 11th 2009 9:02PM
@Shmil
those are bonus points. you also get more points if they hear you say it ;)
see, i would say he's left handed and is flexing his dominant arm's bicep for maximum damage. but you got the right idea!
Shmil @ Jan 11th 2009 9:04PM
This game intrigues me, seeing as how I live in South Carolina I think this game would get so much more play than Punch Bug
BIGGEN (LIVE-PSN: BIGGEN1103) @ Jan 11th 2009 9:08PM
yeah, i live in WV so you can imagine the fun that can be had. sometimes even the women qualify.
Shmil @ Jan 11th 2009 9:14PM
I had a similar game, it was count the mullets.
BIGGEN (LIVE-PSN: BIGGEN1103) @ Jan 11th 2009 10:32PM
well, we WERE thinking of moving to SC after she gets out of pharmacy school, ya know, for a change. but it appears SC and WV are more similar than we thought. mullets are our state hair style for men, women, and children alike. at least you guys have beaches :/
Shmil @ Jan 11th 2009 10:46PM
yeah awesome beaches, with NO waves. well that's not true, like....2-3 ft waves. But we had Stephen Colbert, and Bill Murray's Family.
squeevi @ Jan 12th 2009 2:27AM
Sunglasses pushed up onto the head.
CrossTheAtlantic @ Jan 12th 2009 4:20AM

If I started playing this game, I would never end. Ever.
Oh, fuck it, self esteem boost, here I come!
Deeznuts420 @ Jan 12th 2009 8:56AM
man's man: he has three stars
xGeneral DEATHx @ Jan 12th 2009 11:08AM
Yeah, you could really fill in a whole week with "Man's Man" bullet points here in SC.
playwhutyalike @ Jan 11th 2009 8:50PM
You shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, but, goddammit, the first thing I think is white trash.
jmarto @ Jan 11th 2009 8:52PM
Joystiq needs more posts like this
Longhorn4Life @ Jan 11th 2009 8:56PM

Longhorn4Life @ Jan 11th 2009 9:08PM

Josh @ Jan 11th 2009 9:22PM
That link sucked.
Josh @ Jan 11th 2009 9:23PM
And to add to my previous comment, that link was almost like being Quincy-ed. Well, not so much...But still kind of.
Rob Accomando @ Jan 11th 2009 8:53PM
For all you know he's the creating mind behind an upcoming blockbuster videogame franchise.

You suck on so many levels dude.
You can't even figure out how to use the reply button to respond with your spam, get out of here, we don't want you here. I will never use jobstaxi.com and I will make sure to tell everyone I know to never use it. Go fall in a well and hopefully die.
Your pal,

gcountach @ Jan 11th 2009 9:34PM
Sure that wasn't CliffyB?
Shmil @ Jan 11th 2009 9:39PM
No, if it was cliffy b you'd be able to tell.
His hair would be gelled and the picture wouldn't be the back of his head. Cliffy would turn around and strike a lame pose with that ugly mug of his.
DangerMouse @ Jan 11th 2009 9:41PM
Nice, you just made $0.0001.
Congratulations.
Mal F4cti0n @ Jan 11th 2009 10:34PM
The most classic thin is Scrit on the TV as if he is looking right at the dude with scared/surprised expression. What are the chances that that was on the screen when the photo was snapped.
I call divine intervention on that sh*t.
Shmil @ Jan 11th 2009 10:47PM
Ok, when does Scrat NOT have that scared/anxious look? only when he's smiling for joy during that 2 seconds when he has his acorn.
Mal F4cti0n @ Jan 11th 2009 11:52PM
Yeah, but it totally looks like he is looking out of the TV at the guy.
mezzanine @ Jan 11th 2009 10:59PM
I feel like this photo should be submitted to National Geographic.
Ignatius @ Jan 12th 2009 7:04AM
Here we see the Manly Man outside of his natural environment. He stalks his prey, looking for Cheetos and beer. However, little does he know, he will be soon buried in pamphlets outside of his understanding.
Fascinating!
ijustw1n @ Jan 11th 2009 11:06PM
You write about video games and rumors...and you're taking a moment out of your day to make fun of someone? Really?
Kevin Kelly @ Jan 12th 2009 1:17AM
You read a blog about video games and rumors, and you're taking time out of that to...
Oh forget it. This is just too easy.
Malkmus @ Jan 12th 2009 1:35PM
You're the guy in the photo, aren't you.
Jawmuncher @ Jan 11th 2009 11:15PM
Scrat makes that picture great.
ScottG13 @ Jan 11th 2009 11:25PM
Barbed wire tattoo. Simply too awesome for words.
