Dead or Alive's Valance joins Red Alert 3: Uprising camp
Dead or Alive actress Holly Valance is trading in her sword (and vial of box office poison) for a pen and paper as journalist Brenda Snow in the recently announced Red Alert 3: Uprising. Valance will lend her live action camp to the upcoming expansion, which is earmarked for a digital-only release this March.
The Australian-born starlet describes her role in the game as "a camp, over-dramatised character," telling Eurogamer that "it was fun to go a little bit over the top." We're sure that's quite a change from DoA's Christie Allen. The four people who saw that movie tell us that she was the very picture of Hollywood grace.

In case you've been living in a ditch for a while, both Command and Conquer 3 and Red Alert 3 feature real-life actors/actresses playing the parts in cutscenes and voice-overs, including in-game mission updates. C&C3 featured the gorgeous Jennifer Morrison http://www.wallpaperbase.com/wallpapers/celebs/jennifermorrison/jennifer_morrison_2.jpg (from House) and Red Alert 3 had the awesome Tim Curry.

Whew. I was thinking that a game-movie would be good for once! Now reality is back in place and my world can stop spinning!

I've been playing the demo for Red Alert 3 and I'm tempted to buy the full game based mainly on the fact that it stars Tim Curry, George Takei, J.K. Simmons (J. Jonah Jameson) and, to a lesser extent, Jenny McCarthy.

Putting Red Alert 3 aside for a second, when is DOA 2?
Foetoid @ Jan 13th 2009 6:48AM

Maverick Saturn @ Jan 13th 2009 9:45AM

It's all the deadly animals on their continent. 5+ deadly Jelly fish, Highest consintration of venomous Snakes in the world and even posionous lizards.
Aussies always look great because they are always trying to get away from their wildlife. Exercise is the key.
Foetoid @ Jan 13th 2009 8:52PM
Hahaha, very true. The Inland Taipan (goes by a few names) is the deadliest land snake on the planet and the Sydney FunnelWeb is a top 5 venomous spider too. We've also had 4 Great White Shark attacks in the last month alone.
Robbo @ Jan 13th 2009 9:00AM
Four people? We watch that movie all the time at the http://www.blinkbox.com offices! It's our go-to film when testing... almost anything.
