Skate. by EA Black Box is so good, so even if the newer Tony Hawk games were as good as the old ones (Nostalgia!), they would still lose to Skate.

They could always ask Tony Hawks:

http://www.tony-hawks.com/skateboarding.php

That'd bring a fresh angle.

The first two, on the Dreamcast, are all that ever really needed to be made. Those are still awesome.

Can EA sign and mocap pros(downloadable content) from the now defunct Tony Hawk series?

Rodney Mullen
Paul Rodriguez
Ryan Sheckler
Jereme Rogers
Geoffrey Rowley
Daewon Song

If you notice the pros listed have sponcers that are already in the game!

Cut to 4 years from now: "Neversoft President has parted ways with Guitar Hero series months after release of Guitar Hero: ABBA"
Seriously they need to slow down on the GHs.

You're right! Neversoft is probably going to kill the GH franchise by repeatedly putting out different versions. It's going to end up becoming dull just like the Tony Hawk games.

I played the first on the nintendo 64. The second the PC. I loved them both. But anymore.. they just started getting so repetitive. I am glad that they are taking a break.

Plus with Skate out.. and Skate 2 coming in a week which is sure to be good (I love the demo) I don't know what they could do right now anyway. Their competition at the moment is leaps and bounds over them. But perhaps when it comes toward a third skate.. they could do something. Because as much as I love Skate.. and will be getting Skate 2 release day.. there comes a point where even they can't upgrade without getting repetitive.

This could be just what the series needs.
Fingers crossed it works out for the better.
