World at War celebrates its Live supremacy

Wouldn't you know, Call of Duty: World at War was the number one most played Xbox Live game for the week of January 5th. How ... special? The most played Live games list also informs us that Halo 3 holds the number two spot, Gears of War 2 is firmly planted at the number three spot and CoD4 has slipped to the number four position. Number five, you ask? It's Left 4 Dead.

I would like to add... great time to a gamer who likes shooters on a Xbox 360.

Call of Duty games are a dime a dozen these days, not to mention the fact that CoD: World At War is 14 months newer than Halo 3, and still struggles to get the number one spot, lmao pathetic.

I used to play HALO 3 all the time, but after all the lag, and the lack of updates to fix BS issues, I picked up Call Of Duty: World At War, for $39.99. I haven't put Halo 3 in my system for a long time now. Bungie knows they have issues to fix and have yet to fix them.

Wait, what?

Of all the things to complain about in Halo, lag should be the last one. Bungie's netcode is top notch among console games, and we'd all be better off if other game companies hired them to do the netcode for their games (*cough* Epic *cough*).

activision hate is no reason to hate CoD. it is a reason to hate every other game published by them though.

I'm about to sell world at war because of the stupid glitches. I also stopped playing Nazi zombies! They need to fix it and reset the zombie scores! If there is no fix then this is my last CoD from treyarch.

World at War is a good game no matter how you don't like activision. The multiplayer is solid and though it may not be as great as COD4, it is fun.

Anyway.. glad to see that Left 4 Dead hit number 5. Its seriously THE BEST multiplayer experience out there right now. It is THAT FUN. So I am glad that people are catching on the band wagon.. even if they may not have thought they liked zombies.

Love seeing Left 4 Dead moving up the charts, it deserves it.

Left 4 Dead is truly somethng unique in the market. Check it out it will keep moving up the XBL Chart.

It makes me giddy as a school girl to see Gears2 away from the top spot.

Cliffy B was probably assuming it would be in the #1 spot for months and months if not over a year. He didn't account for the fact that gamers shy away from a product that doesn't work properly.

If I buy a car and when I hit the button to lock the doors the windshield wipers come on, or if I hit the breaks and nothing happens, I'm not gonna drive that car.

Cod WaW has some glitches and cheats online, but they are all manageable. It has lag too, all games do now, but at least I end up with 20-30 kills after a match. Its a fun game and the online co-op on veteran is great fun.

Good job using all that other stuff to veil the true point of your post that you snuck in at the end.

I'm pretty sure the one reason COD: WaW topped XBL is because of the $35 deal that Best Buy had. Otherwise it never would have happened.

Finally, it's time we let CoD4 just rest in peace. You go World at War! woohoo!

CoD4 is so much better than WaW, I will continue playing that until Modern Warfare 2

Nice to see Left 4 Dead on there. That is a fun online experience. Try it out if you haven't yet. The only problem is that it is rather short (only 4 campaigns.) More of a rent than a buy.

Dude I don't see how you say L4D campaigns are short.. 1 campaign takes about 45 mins on easy and about 2 hours on expert.. thats on a single players.. on a multiplayer little longer depends on your team how good are they at friendly fire lol..

Well every time Ive played Halo 3 it lags more than any game. Its not my connection either. World At War runs flawless compared to Halo 3.
