Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood to depict 'the wildest West ever'

Regardless, Tony Key, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Ubisoft, feels confident that another collaboration with developer Techland is entirely called for. "We're confident this new collaboration with Techland will bring an even bigger and better adventure to fans of shooters and the lawless Wild West," he said. Of course, true fans of the lawless Wild West will probably just be downloading this from Juarez sites.
Look for the wildest-West-ever prequel on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC later this year.

I might get this at some point, after all the first one was fun.
Esat Dedezade @ Jan 13th 2009 3:38PM
I agree, though I might rent it first before commiting...
Also, could't we have it just slightly more wild, but a whole lot more western?
All people seem to care about is the wild.. never the west.
SimbaDogg @ Jan 13th 2009 4:30PM
i think i'm a self confessed sucker for will smith movies, but i kinda liked wild wild west. and the wild wild west song i've always love...
ficky ficky wild, ficky wild, ficky wild wild west.
WRE @ Jan 13th 2009 1:31PM
Hopefully it's like Gun, but better!
Alien Lord @ Jan 13th 2009 1:43PM
I actually liked gun better, even if it was shorter.
Freelance @ Jan 13th 2009 1:44PM
Yeah I am thinking they are goign to go the direction of GUN and depict more realistic images of the old west than that of whats shown in spaghetti westerns.
Heyyou27 @ Jan 13th 2009 1:35PM
While I actually thought this was a decent game, the PC version was nearly unplayable, and the 360 version was very difficult to play due to the nature of aiming with an analog stick when the game was clearly designed with the mouse in mind.
Einhanderkiller @ Jan 13th 2009 7:15PM
PC version played just fine for me.
The Dark Wayne @ Jan 13th 2009 1:36PM
The first one was okay, but it just felt really dated in almost every way
knor @ Jan 13th 2009 1:55PM
it's supposed to feel dated, it's a western
The Dark Wayne @ Jan 13th 2009 2:26PM
har har har you know what I meant
Strategy_Panda (The Sandwich Poisoning Crew) @ Jan 13th 2009 1:37PM
sweet. I liked the gun fights in the first game, and I need more westerns in my video games.
Vince Offer @ Jan 13th 2009 1:38PM
You know I don't speak Spanish!
VeryMEtal @ Jan 13th 2009 1:38PM
Another first person shooter! Lets keep flooding the market with these shall we? I wonder if the creators of Castle Wolfenstein get royalties everytime a first person shooter is made?
soviet chick @ Jan 13th 2009 1:49PM
Castle Wolfenstein wasn't and FPS and Warner passed away a few years back. Try harder.
Plus, Call of Juarez doesn't have to be an FPS either, you can Bible Thump!
dantebk @ Jan 13th 2009 1:38PM
I only played the demo of the original Call of Juarez, and while it was decent, I wasn't impressed enough to pick up the full game. Still, I remain very hopeful. One day I'm certain we'll see a Western game that will finally top Sunset Riders as the greatest Western ever. Maybe it will be Bound in Blood? I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Shagittarius @ Jan 13th 2009 1:41PM
I prefer Gunslinger.
Jerk Face @ Jan 13th 2009 4:15PM
Tombstone, ladies.
Gambrinus @ Jan 13th 2009 1:39PM
With a name like that, isn't this just begging to be the most pirated game ever?
Chris @ Jan 13th 2009 1:39PM
Its very refreshing to see a Western. I'm tired of being in space, WWII, a safari/jungle setting. Red Dead Revolver (love to see a sequel) was awesome and so was Gun. Does Darkwatch count? Anyways, let's hope we see more.
Alien Lord @ Jan 13th 2009 1:45PM
Yeah WWII shooters suck, I don't ever play them but Space shooters are almost always fun.
Doreo @ Jan 13th 2009 1:39PM
"Wildest Western Ever Depicted" I laugh at that good sir, because according to Wild Westerns Magazine, The Wild Bunch is the Wildest Western Ever Depicted... And just like every other issue in my life, Wild Westerns Magazine has never failed me!
343 Guilty Fart @ Jan 13th 2009 1:42PM
If that's a screenshot from the game it's bound to be the shortest game ever.
BANG!
Would you like to play again?
Alien Lord @ Jan 13th 2009 1:46PM
No there's that XBLA Community games that lasts less then a second.
Yuccadude @ Jan 13th 2009 1:45PM
I hope there is an octopus sheriff, because that would be pretty wild...
WRE @ Jan 13th 2009 1:53PM
Or an alligator wearing sunglasses!
Freelance @ Jan 13th 2009 1:48PM
I see Call of Jaurez meets Deadwood, but only more graphic! Tell me that doesn't sound awesome.
WHAT! You're just mad you didn't think of it first.
GenBanks @ Jan 13th 2009 2:13PM
The 'Juarez' comment at the end my me laugh :)
I'm looking forward to this, I enjoyed the first one. It was atmospheric and had some fun gameplay moments. I just hope they don't aim the sequel too much at consoles instead of PC.
ObiBen @ Jan 13th 2009 2:14PM
"Jaurez sites" nice.
aggrazel @ Jan 13th 2009 2:19PM
I always felt the first one was very underrated, and I'm hoping that a second installment will bring more freedom. I liked Gun as well, if you combine Gun with Juarez and come up with some sort of "Grand Theft Horse" type game, well, that'd be frickin sweet.
Jerk Face @ Jan 13th 2009 4:18PM
Oh man, that would be awesome! Grand Theft Stagecoach?
Deck @ Jan 13th 2009 2:37PM
How was the first one? I always have thought a Wild West game could be really great if done right. But I never heard much about the first one thus never really played it.
Neuromancer @ Jan 13th 2009 2:51PM
There's a demo, I was not impressed.
Duke @ Jan 13th 2009 4:54PM
I really did not like it at all. Gun was more fun to me.
Neuromancer @ Jan 13th 2009 2:53PM
I wish Activision would take the collar off Neversoft and let them make Gun 2 instead.
ScottG13 @ Jan 13th 2009 3:43PM
I will totally Gamefly this and wish there was less platforming.
m-p{3} @ Jan 13th 2009 4:36PM
I liked the first one, I might get the sequel/prequel.
xtremeholymuffin @ Jan 14th 2009 12:09AM
To Ubisoft:
BLOOD MERIDIAN
read it
t_m @ Jan 14th 2009 3:09AM
We need more western games... never understood why we have so many WW2 games and almost no western games.
Heck, I even mostly enjoyed Red Dead Revolver.. and that was mostly down to the unique setting.. if it'd been another WW2/SF game it'd have been below average.
Sky @ Mar 18th 2009 2:30AM
Hi!
I'm just going around advertising my new Call of Juarez fansite. I'm hoping it will bring the community together and bring some attention to the game. Hopefully it will be a hub for multi-player clans to recruit and get some potential players. Please stop by and be active!
