IGN reports that multiple sources from within LucasArts and beyond have stated that all development on an upcoming X360/PS3 Indiana Jones game has been canceled. Our investigative sister-site, Joystiq, contacted LucasArts and it appears the situation isn't as clear-cut as rumors indicate.
"LucasArts remains absolutely committed to the Indiana Jones franchise," a representative for LucasArts told Joystiq. "While we are aware that fans have been eagerly awaiting additional information on the upcoming game, they can rest assured that details are forthcoming."
LucasArts is vague about the future of the game itself, instead opting to address its commitment to the franchise as a whole. It appears new details for an upcoming Indiana Jones title could spell the bright future or complete demise of the long-teased adventure. Only time will tell.

Does anyone really care at this point? It's 2009 and this game has been announced ages ago.

I always assumed that when this was showed off it was shown off as more of a tech demo than an actual game announcement.
I think it could have potential to be a cool game, but when i watched the video showing off the Euphoria engine i assumed that was the end of it.

The Emperor's Tomb was a good game. I spent a lot of hours on that one. So maybe a new Indiana Jones game would be cool. Who knows.

They need to use the euphoria tech. on a few new games based on the old movies. Kinda like Quantum of Solace, I'd like to play out Raiders and Last Crusade on my 360. They would make a killing like that.
