Journey back to Albion today with Fable 2's Knothole Island DLC
Today's the day, lovers of Joystiq's 2009 Game of the Year: It's time to return to Albion to explore Fable 2's Knothole Island -- the DLC is now available on Xbox Live for 800
($10) and weighs in at 532 MB. If you just want to continue hanging out with your wealthy, Knothole Island-visiting friends, there's also a free version of the content that facilitates that and grants you some new items.
In addition to the ability to undo or not undo the thing you may or may not have done, the update adds a whole island full of specialty shops, quests and new items. But it also features the dubious-looking gang pictured above, so don't expect it to be all drinking port and farting on kids.

Um Too bad no one reviews DLC.I wouldn't like to pay 800p for novelty hats.
I hope they added new creatures.

Here's my review. If you're a fable fan, get it you'll enjoy it. If you hate fable, don't waste your money.
Was that so hard?
BTW..wtf is up with your attitude lately?

"BTW..wtf is up with your attitude lately?"
Yeah I know I have been acting like Bitterman lately. This f*cking cold plus I have been working late and simply can't live without caffeine.
This is totally killing me.
Metkis @ Jan 13th 2009 10:58AM
I wish they'd get rolling with that PC version.
sk8monroe81 @ Jan 13th 2009 4:07PM

"...lovers of Joystiq's 2009 Game of the Year..."
You mean 2008, I presume?
Zertoss @ Jan 13th 2009 11:21AM
Nah, Ludwig already picked it as GOTY 2009 for everyone.
Zertoss @ Jan 13th 2009 11:20AM
Today is gonna be a loooooooong day at work. Maybe I'll use a highlighter on my face so I can go home early.
baby sea tuna @ Jan 13th 2009 11:27AM
I see you've come down with a case of neon jaundice, Zertoss. Please, go home early. We'll just have to manage without you.
Zertoss @ Jan 13th 2009 11:50AM
*coughs and nods pathetically*
Zoot Suit Jedi @ Jan 13th 2009 12:57PM
Or you could use a blue highlighter and start ranting about your improved knowledge of will use. Then attempt to use a level 4 chaos spell on them. Their bound to gift you a mental health day for that one.
Wow. I should really be a bit more disreet with my nerd-dom.
finnith @ Jan 13th 2009 6:36PM
I thought they made will red in Fable 2?
OptimusDiabetus @ Jan 13th 2009 11:26AM
Highlighter on the face you say?........Genius!!!
emirabal @ Jan 13th 2009 11:39AM

...for a touchdown!
Kevino @ Jan 13th 2009 11:51AM
Sounds just as weak as the rest of the game. Glad I won't give it a chance. One was enough.
VictorInvictus @ Jan 13th 2009 11:58AM
I have already played/beaten the DLC...it was quite enjoyable. Only took me about 4 hours though. May play through it again to see how the other choice plays out.
Shagittarius @ Jan 13th 2009 12:57PM
At 4 hours that's half the length of the entire game. That sound like a pretty good value to me.
Neuromancer @ Jan 13th 2009 1:13PM
I'm sure there's other stuff to do (sidequests and so on), right?
The Dark Wayne @ Jan 13th 2009 1:37PM
am I missing something then? I did the retrieve the sun totem thing in an hour, there's more than that right?
sk8monroe81 @ Jan 13th 2009 4:13PM

when did an entire game only include the main quests?
heck some of the side quests are more enjoyable and rewarding than some of the main quests...
fable 2 is not just about beating the game, that is also why the game continues after you beat it.
Aticus @ Jan 13th 2009 5:05PM
Dark,
You need to go back to the mainland and then the next quest will appear. Use this time to go get some items for the Mystery Shop.
The Dark Wayne @ Jan 13th 2009 6:40PM
thanks
Zoot Suit Jedi @ Jan 13th 2009 12:59PM
Correction - "They're." Not "Their."
sk8monroe81 @ Jan 13th 2009 4:09PM
YIPPPEEEE!!!!
Snowblind @ Jan 13th 2009 4:19PM
I just finished it, and I have to say it's rather enjoyable. It is quite short, you'll easily finish it in around 4 hours, but there is a boat load of new items. The new armour, weapons and potions are all *very* cool. (including another item for Halo fans ;)
If you're a fan, you should definitely get it, otherwise you shouldn't even be considering it anyway.
PhydeWice @ Jan 14th 2009 12:08AM
I won't be downloading this. They still haven't fixed the severe glitch that causes the game to crash when you enter Brightwood.
