MLB 09 gives early look at new Yankees Stadium

The Yankees' new stadium isn't open quite yet, but through the magic of the PS3 and MLB 09: The Show, you'll be able to take a look. MTV Multiplayer has an exclusive trailer, highlighting the design of the new stadium. But wait, there's more love for NY baseball fans. Multiplayer will also be showing off the first video the Mets' new stadium, Citi Field, later today.

Video can only be played in the US. Videos are inaccessible to those in Canada and the UK.

yea but you don't see fans wearing different yankee jerseys, if they did they would seem even more realistic.

Umm... I go by the new Yankee Stadium everyday and it looks amazing, as for the price 1.5 billion not 4 billion and it is supposed to look like the Original (before 1975) Yankee Stadium not the 1.5 edition.

it's supposed to look like old yankee stadium. i'm surprised they're going with the strikeout animation they have on the jumbotron at 0:40

I just hope people realize that K is the symbol for strikeout, and has been since the late 1800's.

I seen the building of it from the beginning. Looks very majestic. Real charmer, looks like the original stadium being that I live in NY. Citi field looks just as amazing in a different way. Both are traditional looking ballparks all the way. I appreciate that.

anyway, i am glad they finally are incorporating the sun and shadows in the game. It used to stay light the entire game without any shadow movement, but now it'll be a little more realistic.

Rumor is that the Yankees are shopping Xavier Nady & Nick Swisher to the Capitals. That is driving speculation that the Yankees will offer Manny a 3 year contract at around $65 million total. I don't really see why the Yankees would trade Nady even if they wanted Manny and what the hell could the Nats even give them in return?

No amount of money spent on Sabathia, Teixeira & Burnett is going to have them getting past the Devil Rays this year. Sorry fellas but money can't buy you a ring. With David Price moving in as a starter and the signing of Burrell they have the most complete team in the AL East.

Hm... the ground texture "flickers" quite alot... or maybe it's just the quality of the video. Kind-of goes blurry, then sharp, the blurry... and so on.

Well this game is shaping up to be better than 08 The Show which is saying allot. By far the best baseball game to date with it's combination of gameplay, graphics and statistical tracking. Not to mention the frequent and accurate roster updates are top notch. MLB 2k is a good franchise but the MLB 0X The Show is the best baseball franchise available. I wish Sony could make their exclusive NBA Franchise playable.

The video can only be played in the US? I am in Japan, it worked fine.
