New Killzone 2 trailer shows first-person opera

We would so go to the opera house more often if it was a giant LCD and a couple of kids playing first-person shooters ... in slow motion, with a dramatic opera lady singing off to the side -- and free popcorn. Alas, this is as close to a Killzone 2 opera as we're ever going to get (barring a double-secret Opera Mode), so sit back, crack your knuckles, and enjoy this world-class, pirouetting Helghast troop.

That song was used for great effect in a lesbo love scene with greta Scacchi and Susan Sarandon in a film called 'the hunger' about vampires.
Indeed the song itself is about a couple of Indian princess's who fall in Love.

I love at 0:50 where the guy get shot and when he hits the wall, there is blood splatter. The fire is killer too.

Some of those deaths look awesome, especially the last one. I thought the last one was dramatic.
Some looked funny, but I think it was intentional. They chose which death scenes to include.
My favorite was the backflip kick.

Other than that, the game does look very nice, a mix between COD4 and Gears of War...and that by itself is impressive.

Killzone = yay. I liked the much maligned PS2 Killzone and the PSP product is one of the best games on the platform. Though it was a long time coming, KZ2 looks like a great time.

I agree with flame. The game looks crazy good, and everyone who plays it says it lives up to the hype. "wahh it's a PS3 exclusive, it's gonna suck, wahh" = total troll comment.
You don't see me going into posts about Halo and saying "Halo is overrated Nd not fun," even though it's my opinion, I'm not going to bring down other people for enjoying it.
I hope this game rules, just so we can say it's better than Halo.

ummmm. thats it? A slow motion of the highlights and thats as good as it looks? Don't get me wrong it looks as good as any PS3 game I have seen. But it is not as good as MANY 360 games. I think I will wait until I see it in real time. Maybe it will look way better because this does not make me want to buy it. In fact it makes me want to change my mind. It better have awesome level design like Turok, or game play like gears of war. Or oeverall game like MGS4, because this video is not getting it done. I thought it was going to look better than mass effect(1) the way Sony was talking.

Wow, seriously? I have both 360 and PS3 and while I prefer PS3 I must say with an unbiased opinion that the footage I've seen of Killzone 2 makes it clear that this will have the best graphics of any console game ever. A lot of people claim that Gears 2 holds that title right now but I honestly don't see it. It is a very graphically impressive game but it looks pretty much just like Gears 1. Mass Effect is also a really nice game but nowhere near as nice looking as KZ2 is shaping up. The main difference in all of these games seems to be the engine. The Unreal engine just can't make characters move in a fluid motion that feels real. In my opinion MGS4 holds the title of best console graphics of all time right now. I'm sure this is all just an argument of taste but I guess I'm not very impressed overall with the Unreal engine. Bioshock is probably the 360 game that I thought had the best graphics out of all the ones I own/played.

Urm, the trailer is there just for the sake of showing off deaths, not showing off the entire game. It looks just as good as a Gears game graphics wise as far as I am concerned, whether the gameplay will match that of MGS4 is another question, but if the trailers remain as intense as I've seen while in game, it will match MGS4 easily and Turok? Isn't that the game that flopped?
