He is correct....the amount of shovelware that makes up 98% of the Wii's library IMO puts the Videogame industry back more than people say it helps.

If you were a new casual gamer ...bought a Wii and went out and tried to buy a game for the system not made by Nintendo......you'd never buy another game.

The PS3 and 360 Libraries have their crap....but NOWHERE near the level of worthless games available on the Wii (or the DS....shudder).

Nintendo will make no moves to change this however....as the extreme amount of crap forces customers to only buy their titles.

Who IS happy with the flood of 'crappy' casual Wii titles?

(That's rhetorical, by the way - no need to out yourself by replying...)

Aww..poor 2K. So the low end of the video game spectrum (or entry level game market) for the wii is full.. so what?

All these publishers saw the success of wii sports, saw a crappy "non-game" selling and convinced themselves they could achieve the same success by tossing anything at all on the wii as long as no effort was put into making it..

So now the market is flooded with clones of clones of clones.. and none of them except the original few are doing that well, because they only mimicked wii sports on a very superficial level. Yes the games are simple like wii sports, but they lack quality and depth. They put no effort into making these clones, because they are under the impression that these crazy "casuals" will buy anything.

Well if they want to stand out they are going to have to be the better then the rest.
