Microsoft is probably still trying to figure out how much they are going to charge us for those types of outfits.

The Pro teams and colleges (semi pro) want their money. They tend not to give out stuff for free.

lol, I assume "Suspenders" are what we Brits call "Braces" (Things that keep your trousers from falling down). In British English it means something quite different and more than a little kinky for a man's wardrobe!

As far as I know from what I have been told at mens stores, suspenders have clips that will clip to any pair of pants. Braces are the ones in which the pants must have buttons tailored in to the inner waist for them to attach. At least that is how is goes in the US. So yeah, they are slightly different, though many just use suspenders for both.

I think it's different in Britain. We commonly use the word "Braces" to mean any form of strap that keep your trousers (i.e "Pants") from falling down, by way of your shoulders.

"Suspenders" in British English commonly means stocking suspenders, the largely defunct clips that keep a lady's stocking up by clipping them to her knickers/panties whatever you call them in the US, now almost exclusively reserved for overtly sexy outfits rather than everyday use for women, and conjures up images of disgraced Tory MPs when applied to a man.

lolz?

So basically reading the text version we were going to either get 80s skinhead fashion, or some cross dressing...

At least bell-bottoms would be funny to put on your avatar.

Pretty obvious Rare have no sense of fashion. Like they're stuck in the 70's.

once the dust settles, MS needs to reassign the manager that's in charge of the avatar clothing design!

providing clothing options for 10-20% of the gamers when the 80% haven't been properly addressed is not smart.

I know I'm a lot older than most here but could they just give us some decent clothes like a blue or red t-shirt with a decent looking pair of jeans and some high tops. I had to make this stupid avatar and all the clothing options all look like classic hipster dufus stuff. Who outside of the village in New York wheres fedora hats anymore? I'd atleast pay for some NFL logo gear.

I think the idea is to force people to make fashionable avatars, perhaps with a little more flair than in real life. Otherwise, a whole bunch of people would create avatars as boring as mine.

I made an Urkel with the suspender outfit, but that was about all I could think to do.

Come on! Let's get some GOOD clothing options coming!

Here are some generic clothing ideas that would be just fine if they can't think of something more unique AND usable..

• A white T shirt, no logo or pattern
• A black or neutral color zipped-up hoodie
• The torn jeans Major Nelson has been using since the NXE launch
• A button-up white dress shirt

But some more unique (and oddly creative) ideas could be..

• A torn-up grey suit (victim of a zombie attack)
• A diaper
• Bare chest with 360 tattoo for men
• Open shirt, hairy chest and large gold medallion, 70's style
• Brown tank-top with slung bullet bandolier
• Chain-mail with knight's crest (Women could have a chain-mail bikini...?)
• T shirt with armpit stains/sweat
• Shirt with caffeine molecule

I could go on, but these are some jumping off points.
Remember, this isn't the damn Nintendo and we don't have to keep everything rated G. We probably can go PG here juuust a little, Microsoft..

I actually like avatars...I just get so irritated that all the clothing options suck. Its like they go for the pee-wee herman look, or just gay. I mean last time we got some pink wrist bands...WTF?!?! And I really wanna know one thing, in real life all I wear is hoodies. I have seen so many avatars in videos and in pictures around the net where avatars have on a black hoody with the pocket in the front. Not one with a zipper that is unzipped, but a REAL hoodie. Where can you get that at? Is it only for some foreign market? Why do they get real clothes, and we get the stuff that makes us look like child molesters or gay???

Come to think of it, a tweed blazer/open hoodie combo is just WIN. Couple it with a bald head and Powerpoint presentation and you can be the next J. Allard!

I'm still waiting for the Rave stuff. I checked when X3F announced it but couldn't see it.

Might be US only but considering the UK is the birthplace of Rave then it would seem strange.

MS probably think they invented it knowing them.

When I checked to see the new "preppy" offerings I couldn't view it either (it actually still had stars by all the "rave" clothing to signify it as 'new'). That is navigating through "My Xbox" and then in through the 'customize avatar' menu selection.

I then found the preppy avatar as a post in the 'Spotlight' menu. When I clicked on that option, it updated to the latest offering (the preppy stuff).

Don't know what to do when that option falls off the "spotlight," so I'd try that before it's gone.

Weird, considering I didn't have to do that for any of the other avatar updates.

Nice one. I rechecked and I'm not seeing the recent content but managed to find the "rave" stuff.

Its all rubbish imo, even the pixel art hoodie which had potential.

(Note: I have no idea why I'm even bothered as as far as I can see, avatars are a waste of space(IMO))

I want some good suits to be out, preferably things comparable to Nordstrom, Nieman-Marcus, and Lord & Taylor.

I mean seriously, don't tell me I'm the only person who enjoys the finer things in life that happens to also be good at playing RPG's?
