According to the linked article, you WILL NOT be able to run and shoot at the same time...

Finally people can stop complaining about not being able to move and shoot. I'll stick with the classic control.

That reminded me what you guys talked about on the Fancast.
Maybe Japanese people can't handle two sticks at once.

yeah its true japanese people dont like using 2 sticks, if any of you have played siren (a japanese horror game) you will find you move and aim with the same stick, this is also why Metal gear online has an auto aim

ill try out the action controls, but as a resi fan there nothing wrong with the way it is, so we will see

Yeah, I'll stick with classic. Walking and shooting is just crazy talk. I like the feeling of being retarded anyways.

They should have never changed the control and camera system.

Not to mention the feature that just erases an enemy from your path if you die from it a few times.

you're retarded joeybeast.

um, what i gathered from the joystiq articlle is that you still CAN'T move and shoot.

"We're relieved -- and you may be inclined to disagree -- that Chris Redfield and his spirited partner are still unable to move and shoot at the same time. "

The action controls make moving around the map much easier, but you still can't move and shoot. If you could, the game would be ridiculously easy

Exactly. Where's the challenge if you can simply run and gun down zombies that walk about 1/10 your speed? Even the new Ganado-type enemies wouldn't present any fight.

that's more like it.. stop & shoot was good back 10 years ago, but in RE4 it was stupid, although it way actually that dumb girl that killed the game for me.. hopefully too, the AI partner will be capable on each of the difficulties.. co-op AI's always let the side down..

the majority of gamers & critics (whose opinions actually matter to others, unlike yours) disagree.

riight.. so what's the point in opinions if you can't have your own..

In Resi 0 to 3, stop & shoot was more practical in a way for the corridors.. but RE4, I've said it before, & I'll say it again, I didn't enjoy it, I played it 13 hours out of completism.. for me it was the very dull visuals, simple AI, which I could get used to.. but Ashley.. she was plain useless, & I willingly shot her myself.. when her only response is to crouch on the spot, instead of moving away, she doesn't deserve to live..

but anyway.. I welcome the idea of being able to move while shooting.. not gears style, but use the left trigger to trade accuracy for speed of movement - right trigger alone fires from the hip, squeezing the left trigger slowing you down but increasing your accuracy, a full squeeze being a full stop and best accuracy..

should be easy to implement, opens up accesibility..

It makes far more sense to move while being charged by something that whats to bite my face off..

As for AI.. CODs, Army of Two, Gears of Wars all suffer with AI that can't cope on highter difficulty settings.. the best AI I've ever seen is on FEAR.. and I've never seen anything even half as good as what that had, and it's, what, 6 years old now..

Thank god it's an option, I can't imagine any RE fan thinking this is epic win. I'll be sticking with classic controls.

Yes! This is exactly what I commented on in the last RE5 article. All the fanboys complained about how RE5 is supposed to be played using the horrible controls. Glad to see Capcom has woken up.
