Pathetic rating, pathetic awards show. Makes sense that it'd have such low viewership.

Don't they have any stats on the women who watch spike? I know two girls who watch it, though I don't think they watched this slide show.

Well, gee, maybe if they didn't make a mockery of the industry, someone would watch it. After Sarah Silverman's appearance and her pathetic excuse for comedy, I've not watched an awards show since. Sadly, I don't even remember if she was on g4's or spike's. Doesn't really matter, they both suck.

That is exactly when I stopped watching also. Sarah Silverman came on and started to insult all gamers, and at that point I understood what the makers of that show felt about their audience.

Even now I am positive as the programmers at spike pop their four collars and devour ten protein shakes chased by three red bulls, I know they are saying "DUDE what do these no pussy getting basement nerds want!"

If any more testosterone was pumped into the Spike tv channel in would rip itself out of your television like a roids enraged Tank from left four dead. Axe effect in one hand empty beer keg in the other. Rampaging through your house trying to mount the nearest human being it could get its deformed muscle bound hands on till it passed out from jagerbombs and thinking to hard on how to get more jagerbombs.

It is not that the VGA's are bad, it that the whole network is a smoldering turd that should have been flushed off of television long ago. Tech TV has died but some how Spike is still going! What the hell.

That's because no one cares about Spike and their VGAs. Magazines and websites are a much better source for GOTY and other awards.

It's funny that the first one I ever watched is also the lowest rated

Yeah, so putting your show up against one of the biggest NFL games of the year when your key demographic is 18-34 year old males is probably not the smartest thing they could've done...

If it hadn't been hosted by Jack Black I would've watched it. That fact alone completely deterred me.

I gave it five minutes, during which World of Goo was proclaimed the best indie game Fueled by Dew, so I stopped. But maybe more women (who, um, really like Dew?) would be able to watch that kind of drek if it weren't drek full of "Ooooh, look at the hot presenter!" for three hours. Come to it, maybe more of us would play video games if they weren't full of "Ooooh, look at the jugs on this heroine/villain/questgiver!" But perhaps I've said too much...

If it wasn't so ridiculously stupid with bad hosts, bad guest presents, and not even much focus on the actual awards.. it may be a bit better. But its not. It needs to get totally reworked. But then again they are trying to make it a "entertainment show" instead of an "award show". So I doubt that will ever happen.
