We've asked Griffin, we've implored him, we've threatened him with the loss of his video game blogger license, but it's all to no avail. The kid just won't stop shooting the witch when we play Left 4 Dead. He knows what happens, he knows that someone always ends up endeadened when he does it. He just. Doesn't. Care.
So, we've brought in the big guns: Our sentiments are being relayed to Griffin after the break by rapper Eminem, who's employing not only sheer star wattage to get the message across, but also persuasion's best buddy: Profanity. Pass it along, and get the word to someone you love.
P.S. Hate to rain on the parade, but this video is just a re-edited version of this non-L4D-related one. It's fun to pretend though.
@whoever just above: I heard a track from the new album and the first thing I thought was, damn here's a question they could use to test how old you are: do you remember back when eminem was actually good?
maybe it wasn't the best track though, i only heard the one... but damn it was pretty awful.
Fishouse, you REALLY want to make that claim? Not going to even consider Citizen Kaine, Saving Private Ryan, The Dark Knight, or any other of the more amazing films to be released?
seriously, its a sorry sight to see so many people hating on eminem just because they close their minds off to that genre. a lot of Eminem songs have great lyrics, and voice isn't half bad.
plus the songs that dont have deep lyrics, like slim shady, are actually funny. and 8 mile wasn't such a bad movie, i like it for the song lose yourself.
Although I listen to rock and metal a ton more, back in the day when I was young and listened to hiphop, Kayne West reminds me of that and I like that. Especially since most hiphop I hear today sounds like fucking just pop music or crappy rap. Never going to buy a cd, but its nice hearing a song every so often.
...same as any other genre, you just have to dig deeper or look backwards. Try Anticon Records. I'm not much of a rap fan but that might be a good start.
On topic: I was actually hoping that Eminem put up a YouTube video about Left 4 Dead that would rival Soulja Boy's Braid video... This just made me feel worse because I watched the source video D:
I love oldschool rap. My favorite group of all time are the Beastie Boys. I have to admit,as crappy as his music has become, his first 2 albums were solid plutonium.
I hate this whole attitude of oh yeah their old stuff was good but their new stuff is terrible. All you're doing is being a pretentious music douche. Trying to act like you've listened to them longer than whoever you're talking to, and the new stuff is only popular because they're famous. Stop it. Learn to think for yourself. If you really didn't like their most recent stuff fine, but it's hard to believe that so many people belief this way about every single artist.
Eminem's most recent albums were great in my opinion but if you honestly don't believe that, that's cool but don't be a pretentious music douche and just say their old stuff was better for the hell of it.
I love the people who call out posts like this for being 'not news'.
It was a pretty damned funny post. If you're only here for bland posts about NPD numbers and whatever publisher is firing whatever people, you're doing it wrong.
Exactly, if they had nothing but serious news posts all the time, I'd surf elsewhere... or play games more often.
Besides, most of my comments usually focus more on some off-hand comment made in each article than on the actual news. Or I respond to comments such as this one.
