Nintendo has announced that the Wii sold 8.3 million units during 2008 in Europe, while 11.2 million DS units found their way into bags, pockets and couch cushion crevices. This information follows UK-specific Nintendo sales data recently released by Gfk-ChartTrack, which showed that 4.9 million Wii units sold on the isles.
